We ate there last night and the food, cocktails and service were all outstanding. Pamela's provides more than a meal, the whole evening was an occasion and felt very special, a real treat. Lovely to be able to get this quality of food and service in Gt Yarmouth.

Popped in here after a visit to the beach. Only stopped for a pint but the food looked really good too. Staff were all immaculately dressed and very polite and helpful. Clean toilets too. The decor is lovely and wasn't what we were expecting when we went in. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Good quality food in a relaxed dining environment with fantastic views over the harbour.
There are not many decent restaurants in the Great Yarmouth area, but SW1 is quite acceptable if visiting the East Coast of Norfolk. Nothing special, although the staff are very good and the ambience pleasant. Food is above average for the area , so definitely worth a try.My wife and I have been a few times since my original Report in July 2017 and recently visited with two other members of the family. Unfortunately it was not a special experience. Scallops as a starter were well presented and quite tasty, while fish cakes were also very well received. Main courses went down well, but how the cod could be accompanied with Jersey Royals is beyond me. This is October and the 'Royals' finished many weeks ago !!! I would love to know where they came from.My original Report stated there were no Dessert Wines on the limited Wine List and after two years this has still not been rectified. Surely a couple of half bottles could be listed for those who appreciate a glass with the excellent Desserts on offer. We will continue to support SW1, but only because of the lack of superior restaurants in the area.

Much too often these days eateries that cater for tourists do not think they have to worry about the quality of food as the tourists will be long gone and may never return. However, Jay Jays is a massive contrast to this, and rightly so, they appear to be one of the few restaurants that value your custom. On arrival noticing the high numbers of staff, this is a must for great service, the staff are very attentive and are there for your every need.We waited a reasonable amount of time for food to come to our table from ordering, the menu is extensive so everything has to be cooked from scratch, this ensures that the food will be tasty, hot and appealing. We had dishes ranging from a very fresh crab salad to a pulled pork bap, 5 dishes in all. All food was brought to the table at the same time, this is something that is a must for me.We sat inside and had an amazing view out to sea, was a little blowy outside, inside was clean and spacious.Looking forward to visiting again soon, maybe for Sunday lunch which looks really good.

Found Margoâs whilst visiting Gorleston-on-Sea for a hospital visit with a friend. This place is quirky, staff are very friendly and the scones are the best Iâve tasted. Would highly recommend Margoâs.

Went out with the wife on Saturday night and we fancied a meal so just rocked up here on spec and were told to wait about 15 minutes for a table, no problem, the guy returned a few minutes later and said it would be 20 minutes instead and offered a drink on the house! great service. The meal was brilliant, I had whitebait for starters which was as good as any I've had anywhere, the Hunter's chicken for mains was similarly great. Must mention the guy who served us as he was excellent and it makes such a change from the usual kids on front of house who don't have a clue. Will definitely return! £42 for 2 including drinks and starters.

First visit to the Shed although within our family the chef is known from years back as he catered for a wedding reception! Excellent standard of cooking still. Attentive service. Large choice of fish and excellent chips plus divine in-house made desserts. The surroundings were cosy and ambient. We'll be dining again at the Shed(if we can get get a table as it's so popular)!Thank you very much for a great review. We are all really pleased that you enjoyed your evening with us and it's lovely to know that you intend to return, we very much look forward to seeing you

This is my second Xmas lunch at the carvery and yet again it was superb. Lovely, genuine warm welcome and spacious venue.Excellent service from the very happy staff. Food was cooked to perfection and plenty of it. Quality of the produce used is to a very high standard. Nothing too much trouble. Bar prices are good and a huge selection of drinks to choose from. We found the atmosphere very Christmassy and all that was missing was the snow. The venue is kept exceptionally clean and the toilets are spotless. All in all an excellent carvery and thoroughly recommended.
