Exceptional dinner - homemade nachos, duck spring roll like you've never tasted followed by the pork belly and pigs cheek for one of us and pulled pork wrap with homeade slaw for the other. Dishes that you know and love but done with undeniable professional skill and extreme attention to detail. Fantastic in every way and great value for money. Will not be long before there is a waiting list.Thank you very much for your kind words and lovely review, I very much look forward to seeing you soon! Thank you, Jon.

Here back again at the Grant this is a lovely hotel right in the Centre of town, the front desk is always pleasant and pleased to great you.The rooms are very nice and clean and also warm what you want at this time of year.I believe they have a lot to do with the bird watching not being a twitcher myself I’ve never asked.Breakfast is good plenty to choose from if the hotel is busy they put on a self serving table but when it’s quiet you’re served at the table and the staff all very pleasant and nothing is a problem.I always try to get in here when I’m in Grantown. It’s handy for the walking and they have a guide maps in the room but not to be taken away.Ask the front desk for any information there there to help.

Wonderful!Leg of lamb falls off the bone. Veggies local, fresh. Brilliant. The setting cannot be beat. Beautiful linens, beautiful dining room. Small, intimate ... but grand at the same time. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for as well as the chocolate torte. Good wine selection. Very reasonable for a fantastic three-course meal.Treat yourself and get a table if you can!

The website mentions steak wednesday and early bird discount of 15%. The former , steak wednesday is out of date by approx 2 years i think, and our waiter knew nothing of the early bird discount. The restaurant is pleasant but a charge of £25.95 for a rib eye steak is about £5.95 too much. Although advertised as local it had no flavour what so ever. I have tasted better ones from my local Aldi.

The Heather centre was virtually destroyed by fire and has managed to survive over the past 3 years utilising what remained. A lovely tea room serving homemade food, very tasty sandwiches! The red squirrel arrives at regular intervals and there are lots of woodland birds to be seen. A small garden centre remains with unusual plants. Lots of unusual garden pots to be had and an antique shop. The new place will open in August (fingers crossed) and will be amazing !! Good luck with the new venture and will see you all in August, new build or not.
