My husband and I have been here quite regularly since we moved around the corner. Every time the staff have been lovely and very attentive. We have been here for just drinks and and for food. The cauliflower is possibly the best dish I have ever had, gives Maray on Bold Street a run for it's money! The roast dinners are something special too. Must go on one of the nights they have live music next!

Nags Head is part of the Greene King chain, with an outstanding reputation for great sports viewing, a great selection of drink, value food and regular entertainment. So whether you want to watch sports, eat great food bursting with flavour or enjoy a pin

Went to 'Tipple' this afternoon to celebrate an engagement. The bar was quiet and very few people were eating. Had 'Friday Fizz' together with a selection of tapas & sandwiches, all of which were tasty and well presented, Whilst our waitress [--] was reasonably knowledgeable about the menu regarding one of the party's food intolerances her manner was less than friendly - bordering on surly. At no time before, during or after our meal did she smile or exchange pleasantries as you would expect. She took gin bottles of flowers to the tables as decorations and when she brought ours one of the group asked her if she knew there was a bride to be in the group she said nothing, just looked blankly and walked past. I realise everyone has their off days, but we have noticed her manner before and alas it's not a one-off. Maybe a quiet word from The Manager will do the trick? After all, a smile and a bit of friendly interaction is an integral part of any social occasion. Cheer up [--], it might never happen! This sadly is the upsetting side of trip advisor, it has been used as a tool to public slate one of our members off staff. This particular staff member is well known for being one of the most chatty and friendly of all of our staff, and will always make time for conversation and make people feel at ease whilst spending time at Tipple. After speaking to the staff member in question she has said that at no point did she feel directly involved in the conversation and did not want to invade your private conversations. We always appreciate feedback - good or bad ... when it is about the bar itself, however this review has came across as a character assassination.

Have visited this delightful cafe over the past few years and have always enjoyed the food, ambience, as well as the pleasant staff. My only dissatisfaction was regarding how dark it was which detracted a little from the friendly and charming atmosphere. However, on my recent visit, it was a pleasant surprise to see that some improvements had been made which means there is now much more natural light. This has made such a difference and is more in keeping with the welcoming feel of the cafe. During my visit I learned the venue had changed hands as I had the pleasure of meeting the new owners who are also extremely friendly and obviously keen to make a go of it. I can't see any reason why they shouldn't be a huge success and wish them all the very best. Almost forgot! The food and beverages were excellent too!
Now don't get me wrong, it's a nice looking Subway and the subs are made well.... It's just that every time I visit, whether it's busy or dead, the tables are never cleared regularly. If they are cleared, they are hardly ever wiped. The floor is often covered in bits too!It really is a pet hate of mine as it's an easy thing to fix and almost as important as the food itself, if you're eating in.

The New Scarisbrick Arms Restaurant provides cuisine catering to the highest standards. We serve both traditional dishes as well as providing the experience of fresh culinary ideas in the stylish ambience of our eatery. Visit us and find out for yourself.
Just had the most appalling lunch, possibly pick the wrong menu judging by other reviews but we just wanted a light bite. We were served with the most tasteless WHITE sandwich as they didnât have any other bread. Tuna mayo was disgusting and bacon and lettuce but they had no bacon so we were given ham . Fries were uncooked beige sticks and the salad was lathered in SALAD CREAM . This is no reflection on the staff that served us as they were lovely but a review was needed so other Diners DO NOT PICK THE LUNCH MENU.

It is in the golf club and hotel and Spa facility
We came here as a party of 5 for an evening meal. Firstly, we ordered some drinks at the bar and found the bar staff were a bit unfriendly and took a while to get our drinks but were talking amongst each other. The staff that served in the restaurant, including the manager, were much more pleasant and approachable. The place itself was clean with modern decor and a stylish atmosphere but it got very loud! The food was well presented and came in a timely manner. We all enjoyed our meals, I personally had the ham hock to start and the risotto as a main which I thoroughly enjoyed. We ordered more drinks throughout the meal and our waitress had to chase them up as we were waiting a long time for them again. It is pricey but then it is a golf club and so you expect to pay more, However, although we enjoyed our meals you can have the same elsewhere for less money.
