Filey's original tearoom. Well known for a variety of home made cakes & year round crab sandwiches.Open all year Mon-Sat.
To save a walk from the golf club car park, we parked close to the town centre. Remembering our visit last time, we once again called at this establishment. The welcome was as remembered and the fare excellent.Staff very friendly and informative. This is a once a year visit usually but perhaps a sooner return visit is called for.

We chose The Ship Inn based on a review from another traveller and I'm really glad we did. We'd phoned ahead as we have dogs and when we arrived they'd set up a table for us in a quiet corner, which was perfect. The team were lovely and friendly, and the service was excellent. Food was hearty and very tasty. My other half had beef stroganoff with half and half rice and chips - she wants to go back just for the chips, they were excellent. I had game pie from the specials board, I wasn't disappointed. I would normally complain that it wasn't pastry all round but the game was delicious and the portion so big that I didn't miss the extra pastry. The accompanying veg was perfectly cooked. They packed up the leftover game for the pooches (they loved it) and offered table service throughout. We will be going back.Thank you for lovely comments hope to see you again very soon! Team Ship

Fell over this gem while looking around for somewhere to eat Sunday lunch. We both went for the 2 meat choice and there certainly wasnât a shortfall in quantity. The meats were cooked to perfection as where the vast selection of vegetables. Service was prompt and the staff were lovely and friendly. Even though we were full we couldnât resist the sweet menu. Definitely highly recommended.

Downclfife House is both a hotel and also a restaurant open to non-residents in Filey, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Whilst staying at Downcliffe House, we had the pleasure of eating in their restaurant. The surroundings are quite unique and provided a pleasant backdrop for the meal. The menu was not extensive so we could anticipate fresh ingredients and we weren't disappointed. Our food, pasta and soup to start followed by Suckling pig were imaginative and cooked to a high quality. The service was friendly and attentive.

Licensed Tearoom & restaurant.
We went to Charlottes for the Thursday steak night. What great value it was. Our steak was cooked to perfection and arrived very quickly. We had the house wine with our meal (included in the offer) and was excellent. If you are in Filey give Charlottes a try, you won't be disappointed.

Called in for a pot of tea and a scone while visiting Filey. Excellent (and huge) pot of tea and decent scone. Pity we weren't feeling peckish as the main meals being served looked good. Friendly very welcoming owner, we felt like regulars by the time we left! Will return.
