The restaurant is now open every day of the week for Summer hours. we stop serving food from the kitchen half an hour before the closing hour of every day.
The situation, overlooking the bubbling stream, is great. The food was hearty and tasty, served by friendly folk. Worth a visit.

Situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Fettercairn, close to the stunning Glen Esk and Drumtochty glen, a friendly Scottish cafe / tea-room, serving home baked cakes, cooked breakfasts, homemade soups, sandwiches, paninis and hot fresh cooked m
Taken to this little place, the first time in my life-Didn't leave disappointed-but happy-just no strife. The food it was delicious-just the very best; And the cakes were to die for- but they catered for my diabetes need..
Family run local cafe serving the local community & visiting tourists. Ranging from all day breakfasts and lunch time specials to home baking and take away coffees.
Our walking group love to be in the area so that we can end the walk at The Birches because we know we are in for a warm welcome, a bit of banter and most of all home cooked/baked food. Can't wait to return.

Stopped here for lunch. Friendly staff invited us to take our dogs round to the courtyard where we enjoyed an excellent lunch in the sun. Good choice of freshly prepared snacks and mains and excellent home baking. Shop is great. Highly recommend this place.

We are a small cosy family friendly pub and restaurant within the small village of Luthermuir just south of Laurencekirk. We use fresh locally sourced ingredients to provide the best meals we can in a friendly environment.
We have been lucky enough to visit the Scots Corner many times and the food and service is consistently brilliant. Our most recent visit was a Sunday that we couldn't be bothered cooking and we remembered that the Scots Corner did a "carve your own carvery".We popped round and decided to go for the 2 course carvery for 2.The service from the staff was friendly and welcoming and the food arrived quickly even though they were very busy.We both had the roast beef and all the trimmings as a main and we were not disappointed. The beef was melt in the mouth and the vegetables were very yummy and lots of different trimmings to try out.We then both had the same dessert too! Waffles with caramel ice cream. I'm not a huge dessert fan normally, but we both said it was delicious and I polished off the lot!Definitely give them a try if you are in the area What a fantastic review. Thank you so much. We are absolutely delighted that you enjoyed your visit so much. Your ongoing support is very much appreciated. Kind regards on behalf of Sue and the team.Kind regards Zander

Lovely day at the excellent gala, fancied an ice cream so headed for the Tuck Inn as it has a good reputation. However most of the staff seem incapable of serving ice cream. Waited patiently with me grandson to be served by a female member of staff who wiped the counter twice but did not try to serve us. Then a young lady staff member came from the back of the shop and proceeded to serve people who came in well after us. Normally I would have kicked up a storm, but as my grandson was waiting with me I decided to leave quietly. We went to the Panmure Arms at the top of the street where we were greeted by a lovely member of staff and got our ice creams with great service and a smile. I urge all further visitors to do the same. You will not be disappointed at the Panmure ice cream dispensary.Disappointed to read this, and can only offer an apology. I would encourage you to respectfully challenge the staff, and bring to their attention that you were in line for service before those who may have entered later. The ice cream/take away area can become congested during busy periods, and it’s not always clear to staff who may be next in line for service.

Called in here for a lunch and found it to be very satisfactory. It was reasonably busy but service was prompt, efficient and courteous. The smoked haddock and bacon risotto was especially nice. A good feature of this hotel is that all of the main courses were offered as full or half portions. We had a starter followed by half portions and this was quite enough to eat at lunchtime and made for a modest bill of £31 for two including two soft drinks.Well worth a visit.

Having come from Aberdeen, we were looking for a nice place for lunch and happened to stumble across this place. Reviews were good and the pics looked good! The only drawback and has been mentioned by others is the coffee is not great, the milk is heated far too much and makes an enjoyable beverage scalding hot. Onto the good stuff, the food. They've a good mix of food on offer and a bunch of changing specials. Goats cheese salad to start and for the first time my partner and I both ordered the same main (roast lamb and the trimmings), and finished with a sticky toffee pudding. We left stuffed and happy. It's a small town and one which can be easily missed, but do take a look and try here.

I absolutely love coming here for their hot savoury scones. They are absolutely delicious. Take note it is a 3hr round trip for me but well worth it. The food here is really good and very reasonably priced

Enjoy the highest level of professional service with an addition of classical style within the dining room and its unadulterated opulence of décor, one of the very few restaurants of period features left in the locality, or unparalleled surrounding with a
We just stopped for coffee. The lady at the reception desk was extremely helpful and we were soon sitting on the patio beside a sun drenched garden waiting for our coffees and shortbread to arrive. It was fascinating walking through the whisky dominated bar which I later learned had 1050 different brands of whisky. Parking is easy.Great to read that you received our special Glenesk Hospitality for your coffee visit. We appreciate your positve feedback with regards to our facilities here and hope that you have the opportunity to re-visit the hotel again soon.Kind Regards,Martin McilrathGeneral Manager
