At the counter I was ignored as I tried to order. They rudely ignored me while talking to friends and other staff. Looking at other reviews it looks like we dodged a bullet, best avoided, rude staff and over priced bad food. Go elsewhere and spend your money

We are a family run business established back in 1983. We pride ourselves in serving only sustainably sourced fish, which we prefer to cook to order.
Best fish and chips Ive ever had. Light crispy batter and fresh, thick cod. Well worth a visit. Large meal too, only needed the standard size fish. Girl serving a bit miserable, no smiles amd looked totally fed up but the lovely food was worth it.

just hidden behind a door off main street we found a hidden gemOld fashioned elegance, on the first floorYou need to be prepared for a flight of steep stairs but its well worth the climbThe room is wonderfully decorated in old fashioned charm, and the choices of food is abundant we choose a welsh rarebit and salad special and a lasagne special both were presented well, and looked and tasted fabulousa large pot of tea to accompany the mealsThe young waitress was exceedingly pleasant, very knowledgable and efficient We admired the array of home made cakes, but dismayed that due to the large portions provided, we could not manage any cake, but they looked wonderful The prices are really reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and would highly recommend everyone, to uncover this little gem

The Erskine Arms is a traditional foodie pub nestled in the heart of the medieval walls of Conwy. The pub offers a laid-back and friendly atmosphere to enjoy some fresh local food, great local ales, a glass or two of good quality wine and for those from f
A group of seven of us dined here on a Saturday evening. The food and service were good but the noise level was horrendous from a table of about fifteen nearby and we could barely hear ourselves think, let alone talk. This spoiled what may have been a very good evening. The menu is quite interesting and there is a good wine selection, all at reasonable prices. I had the mackerel starter, which was excellent, followed by a delicious roast pork shoulder. Unfortunately, the taste of the pork was somewhat overpowered by the accompanying cassoulet with chorizo. What is wrong with the taste of pork that it needs to be overpowered? My apple crumble dessert was excellent. Others in our party all enjoyed their meals. Décor is standard pub, but is quite spacious.

I rarely give a 5 star rating but this plaice gets it for sure! We ate in the restaurant and the service was quick, the food was excellent and those mushy peas were the best i have ever tasted. Fish cooked to perfection. Great portion sizes. Well done

Located right next to Conwy Castle's entrance, there is no denying that it is in prime location and, going past the toilets, one can link up with the store below (entrance is on opposing side of the building, onto the main road).Service was very good, with employees sporting a smile and overall good mood.Food servings were of a generous size but a bit lacking in flavour and, unfortunately, the coffee was slightly burned.

Ladies go on an adventure to find this AMAZING restored Manor House. Left at Conwy Castle onto Trefiw Road and turn left at the Gorse Hill Caravan Park sign. Barrier with a reception button then up the road and straight across the small roundabout. What a find this is and open to the public (suggest signage on the main road for the restaurant) £7 light lunch great price. Main meals a little more expensive, but you are paying for award winning meals, stunning interior design, everywhere was immaculate, great service, and fantastic views of the Menai straits on one side and the Conwy valley on the other. Toilets were immaculate too. We were very, very, very impressed

The Aberconwy Resort and Spa on the north coast of Wales is a seaside retreat which boasts its very own gourmet restaurant. Signatures is a swanky affair â and its slate walls, vanilla leather chairs and chi-chi chandeliers are the perfect backdrop for re
We had lunch there. The place was nice at the beginning. After many people come in it started to smell too much from the kitchen. The food were the best! Really tasty and good quality and perfect portion. Price was not high at all. We are a small family run Bistro in the historic town walls of Conwy. Everything is homemade such as bread, ice cream; our menus change at least 4 times a year with the seasons. We make our own gluten free bread and adapt our menu accordingly for any diet
I have struggled a little with this review as all the other reviews are so overwhelmingly positive, however, my honest opinion is that although the food was nice and there were some lovely touches and effort made, the feeling that we were left with was of disappointment. I am not sure if we were not the sort of people who would normally eat there (my teenage children hadn't heard of jus or bisque and had to ask for some explanations), or if there was some other reason, but we felt that the staff were cold and not very welcoming during our meal.I can recommend the food, it was very tasty (although quite pricy), and can also say that it is vegan friendly, but it is not a place that I would go to again, simply because I left feeling like we had been an inconvenience, rather than welcomed guests spending over £200.

came in last Thursday. Lovely ambient cafe up some winding stairs. I had the soup which came piping hot in a unusual crock/pot style bowl which kept the soup hot for ages. Came with some of the nicest rye style bread i have had. Its easy to make fancy looking food but making a simple dish like soup into something special is quite a skill. Travelling solo so the warm welcome from the lady serving was much appreciated (shame - did not manage to get her name, please say hi from me). Would especially recommend If you are eating alone at lunch as its the sort of place you can feel comfortable and not stand out.
