Recently visited with friends for some food and drinks. Staff very helpful and attentive, food choice very good and quality good also - food was piping hot!Drinks selection good and reasonably priced cocktails, it is busy and they don't take reservations so be a little patient and you will get a table at busy times.

We visited as a family of 14 for a birthday dinner. We reserved the upstairs dining area, which we were allowed exclusive use of. Serving staff were great, and were very attentive. Drinks and meals served promptly and any requests handled quickly. My meal of breaded mushrooms, lasagna and sticky toffee pudding were delicious. They also have a great kids menu. £4.99 meal, dessert and drink, brilliant value, tasty and fresh. Weâll definitely be back, thank you!

I happened to be in area, rain had started , so I thought , where can I find somewhere nice for a quick bowl of soup and get out of rain.Read very appealing tasting menu in window and went in.Iam SO glad I did. Very cheerful guy (Frank , I think was his name ) welcomed me, and told me to take a seat (anywhere I wanted,,,,, that alone was a plus point for me, as sometimes waiters do not give you a choice , despite if place is quiet or not)Menu , choices, and cost were all excellent. The soup I have to say, was delicious !!!! ...Borscht served with lovely whole meal , soft bread, soft butter( with fab sprinkled sea salt over it )I loved my visit here, and I cant wait to bring friends back with me the next time to try more of the offerings on the menu.In summary, a warm welcoming place, with great food and staff.!!!!.

Great family run village pub.Fabulous food with a family friendly atmosphere. Fantastic menu and value for money.
Went here for meal on the spur of the moment Easter Sunday, got a table no problem. Had a drink first, lovely boe violet gin garnished beautiful and a pint of lager just over 6 pounds. Served quickly. Garlic mushrooms to start larger portion to share, good quality. I ordered roast of the day which was beef I asked for roast potatoes only, no problem Yorkshire pudding cabbage and carrots and lots of meat cost around 7 pound, delicious. Partner had steak with garlic prawns and chips. Really delicious meal glad to see the couple have returned from Spain and the meals are excellent. Great prices and well cooked. Thank you for your great review. So good to hear that you popped in and enjoyed your meal and your visit. Thank you.

Had the 10 course tasting menu with wine pairings last Saturday. Amazing food and thoughtful wine pairings with great service. This was for s very reasonable price. Would not hesitate to come back and is worth the journey outside the city centre. Highlights were the chicken liver parfait, pigeon, fish with mussels and the blue cheese course. Really great evening!

After getting the news that I'd been offered a new job, myself and my husband were looking for somewhere local for an impromptu celebration meal. Being in the area and remembering a recommendation by a member of staff in Waitrose, we decided to try out the Burnbrae. Walked in to find a roaring log fire and a really cosy pub atmosphere, not too busy as it was just before dinner time, but lots of attentive staff. I went for the rump steak and hubby went for steak sandwich, didn't realise that on Thursday if you order two meals from the grill menu, you get a bottle of wine free (we had already ordered beers and were driving so asked if we can take the bottle home, which we were told was absolutely fine!) Drinks came quickly, wheat beer on tap and the food shortly after, weren't disappointed, steak was well seasoned and done to our requests! Despite it getting busier the staff weren't pushed to get us out of our seats and we had a nice, relaxed evening. Now that we've been once, we'll definitely go back! We're happy to hear you had such a positive experience with us! We hope to see you soon!

Went along to see family members who come here regularly at lunchtime and was happy I did. Smart interior, friendly staff and a good menu. On this occasion I went with the BLT sandwich which was very good, served with a good portion of chips and tasty coleslaw. A couple of desserts were ordered and new one on us was cinnamon tortillas beautifully presented and served with ice cream and toffee sauce. Enough for everyone to get a taste. Definitely worth a visit at lunchtime.

Followed friends recommendations and visited here at last.Nice welcome, early enough to chose our table and friendly service throughout our stay.Food was excellent and almost too generous with the portions for main course. Cheese for dessert was super but again, possibly too much. Not a criticism, just a passing comment.Street car parking available but two car parks very close by (both free after 5.30pm).Well worth a visit or two.

Bar & Restaurant in Old Kilpatrick. Serving great homemade food, great atmosphere & banter!
Popped in here today for the first time after walking over the Erskine Bridge with our adopted dog (looking after MIL dog for a few weeks) and have to say I was really impressed!!! Lovely food and great service and I loved how they were so welcoming to our wee doggies ......... fresh bowl of water brought over for our Molly with some wee dog treats too, lovely touch!! We ate in the bar area (where dogs are permitted) but full menu available. Food is freshly made to order and I was impressed with the service of food, not rushed at all ~ very relaxed but prompt service. Certainly worth a walk over the bridge for sure ;-) KK xxHi UkSunlover. Thank you very much for your great 5 star review. Great Molly enjoyed herself to. Hopefully we get some decent weather and we will see you again. Thanks again G
