We deliver modern British food with a contemporary twist in our 3 AA Rosette Jackrabbit Restaurant. Not so much a revival of old dishes, but a re-interpretation, often with an element of fusion. Head Chef Greg Newman & his team pay great attention in sour
I rarely give the full 5/5 rating but Jackrabbit really deserves it. The restaurant itself is simply but charmingly appointed, and the menu choices, while not overwhelming, clearly aim for perfection. Our meal certainly didn't disappoint and we both enjoyed a beautifully presented and tasty dinner. (Just one minor wrinkle - one of our servers was excellent but a couple of the others - students? - were a bit lost) Nevertheless, certainly the best place to eat in Chipping Campden. And breakfast next morning was just as good!

Read previous reviews and thought we would give it a go. Oh dear, I know we only wanted a snack, and we looked on the website. Told the website was now obsolete and different menu. All we wanted was a sandwich and no matter how we asked there were none. They did have crusty bread with soup. Enough said. Will not return.

The selection of cakes in the window tempted us in for afternoon tea and so glad it did.Friendly service and really welcoming, had our four legged friend with us (as soo many do in the Cotswolds ) the waitress asked if we would prefer the conservatory or the garden - such a treat not to be made to feel like a nuisance having the dog with us !We chose the conservatory and as we sat down they brought over a dish of water for dogo which was a really nice gesture. Ordered two cream teas which came with plenty of jam and cream and a choice of plain or fruit scones (moist and a good size) along with a slice of delicious cake from the extensive choice! I had coffee and walnut which was moist and tasty, and my other half had chocolate which was rich and so chocolatey. Minor issue but not a complaint more of a bit of feedback - didn't understand why the single napkin you're given was underneath the cake? so no use as it was covered in buttercream before you began - also the fork had been put under the cake too!! Not cheap but very nice and excellent food quality, when it's good you don't mind paying! If you are in town, would definitely recommend, and will be back for lunch next time in the area!

This place has lots of character and a convenient location. The service was great as well. But the food was on another level. Maybe the best meal I have ever had in England. I could not recommend it more highly on a visit to Chipping Campden.

old-fashioned English tea room which also serves meals
Tea very weak, cream tasted off and scones burnt. When they bring the bill it says no credit cards under £10, lucky they charge £5 for a scone! Very disappointing

Just got back from a lovely Sunday roast - plenty of beef, nicely rare to medium. They even swapped a bit of mash for an extra couple roasties. Mash and roast potatoes? Never! Desert (sticky toffee pudding) was excellent. Great service. Any faults? Unfortunately there were cob webs were we sat and I didn't have the cash to leave a tip - me bad: no facility on card payment, but that's down to me. Yes, an lovely meal. Starter was really nice (rarebit) too. All round a wonderful evening.

The Bakers Arms is a traditional Cotswold Country Pub situated in the picturesque village of Broad Campden only 1 mile from Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire serving real ale and good food.
This dog friendly pub made us very welcome. Providing a good choice of beers including Butty Bach. Lunchtime menu offered a very good range of food My rump steak was excellent, well cooked medium rare and very tasty. The following apple crumble and custard rounded off one of the best pub meals I've had in quite a while.

Could of had a fair choose from the breakfast menu. Lunch menu commences midday and we will certainly return to try, although the Sunday Roast menu is on the list of must try. We visited on my birthday earlier in the year as I love scouting out Donnington pubs. I was made to feel extremely unwelcome. Having waited patiently the best part of 5 minutes for the barmaid to cease idle chit chat with the locals at the bar, I noticed she whispered something under her breathe which was aimed in my direction. When she finally did acknowledge me, I asked if they were serving food to which she curtly replied âNoâ. As I left the bar, I heard an older couple enquire about food and I overheard the barmaid offer them a choice of sandwiches! If youâre under 50, donât expect anything less than a frosty reception and appalling manners!I am very sorry that you had this experience here. I have messaged you directly. I would like to offer you a meal. Again I am truly sorry and I have spoken to all staff members Jess
