Myself along with my family visited Anita at her tearoom. We was pleasantly surprised at the menu which varied from hot breakfasts to afternoon tea. There was something for everyone. The staff were really friendly, polite & nothing was too much for them. Our niece loved the fact that the locals were friendly to her & that it was a dog friendly tearoom & she got to view the boats. We will be going back frequently. The place was in a lovely location, both inside & outside seating, prices were more than reasonable, staff were amazing

We love the restaurant but not the service they need more staff especially at a weekend

With its records dating back to 1757, The Peterboat is a pub rich in local history. This, along with the gorgeous panoramic views across the Thames Estuary, has established the venue as the true heart of Old Leigh. Paying homage to our traditional roots a
Stopped for lunch in the Peterboat on the 10th of October, the service and food were excellent. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming and even cracked a few jokes and comments, he was a very friendly like guy.Kellee and Nicky who served us were very friendly and professional, a real asset. I look forward to many more meals in the Peterboat in the future.

Seafood cafe sitting on the shores of the Thames Estuary serving traditional seafood and shellfish, as well as sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and delicious fresh salads.
Great place, but gets very crowded as the food is so good Excellent fresh, tasty seafood. Had a wonderful seafood platter for £8.50. Very friendly. Very reasonable. Lovely place to visit near the cockle sheds.

Contemporary and informal bistro style restaurant open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch or just delicious coffees and cake. Plus 3 evenings for dinner (Thurs*, Fri & Sat - *Apr-Dec). Fully licensed to serve alcohol with meals with an excellent range of
Its a shame that what should have been a happy experience has turned into one which upset a young lady. This was a lunch following wedding/bridesmaid fittings. A restaurant with such great food delivering customer service of this nature is dissapointing. I would have expected the owner to embrass the feedback and humbly apologise again, not respond in such an aggressive and defensive manner. The response says it all really

Went for lunch on spur of moment, based on TA reviews. Whitebait and prawn cocktail for starters. Ceylon curry and pan fried cod fillet for mains. Restaurant not busy but excessive wait for starters and extremely long wait (45 minutes) for mains. Starters OK. Except for the chips, my wife's main dish of pan fried cod fillet and vegetables was considerably overcooked (dry fish and wilting vegetables), and the Ceylon curry consisted of overcooked, dry chicken, a sauce which did not have a curry flavour, and tasteless rice.Having read previous reviews, we can only assume there was a problem in the kitchen - insufficient staff, inexperienced chef??Our disappointment was well handled by our waitress. We will not be returning.

First time here, nice venue and friendly staff who couldnât do enough, apparently a cafe in the day and Turkish restaurant in the evening which is what we did. Packed menu, food prices and food portions were amazing, everything came out hot and looking good. Eyed up other dishes coming out and they looked good too. Will defo be going back!

Seafront bistro style cafe, modern setting with fantastic sea views. Serving breakfast, lunch and snacks. Many specials on the chalkboard available and roast dinners served on Sunday.
Very disappointed to find the Bistro totally locked up today. We had a very pleasant long walk and planned to finish it off with a nice meal at the Labworth. There was absolutely no indication of why it was closed - The only signs said opening hours are 09:00 - 15:00 Tues to Sun.

Thought we would try The Labworth as used to go there many years ago. Was very disappointed. The menu is a set price but there are so many supplements which makes it very pricy. I had a salmon platter to start which had a £5 supplement. Was very disappointed as was just a few pieces of smoked salmon on a plate. Why the £5 supplement. My sea bass was very nice. The desert on the other hand - I ordered a peach Melba pavlova which was basically two ready made meringues with tin peaches. Would I go back? No I donât think so. Highly overrated and expensive.
