A group of friends had a mid week lunch after a long walk. I had the special of crispy chicken, salad, coleslaw and fries for £11.50. Full of flavours. All well cooked. The chicken, fries and coleslaw are homemade. Made welcome by the staff. The drinks and food are reasonably priced. Some of my friends had sandwiches which came with salad and crisp, they all said there sandwiches were very good and reasonably priced.

This dog friendly tearoom is excellent for lunch. They made a fuss of my dog, offering her unlimited treats. The food was fresh and well prepared and the cakes were delicious. It is right by Beccles Common where you can walk your dog and, depending on the season, see a variety of wildlife. Will definitely go back.

Pub Just South Of Beccles
Wholesome food and very good service. Small things let it down like the chips with the cod were typical french fries which any fast food restaurant serves. My partners salad had some brown leaves. Attention to detail ? Great choice of beers. Very nice pudding choice and the cheesecake was very tasty. If the details were addressed it would have been five stars. Cheap chips and brown lettuce do not impress.

Hubby and I have lived in Beccles for years, but never been to the white lion before. It was recommended by a friend from work, so we thought weâd give it a go.We were not disappointed. The setting is pretty and lit well outside, inside is a country pub vibe and there is a pub doggy to welcome you. He was gorgeous! The restaurant is set aside and is well decorated. The menu was vast and based on classics. Hubby had the pork belly and I had a salt and pepper chicken (very spicy so it was right up my street!). Both were delicious. Hubby also had créme brûlée with shortbread. All homemade and utterly delicious.Food was also well priced. Main was £11-16, starters around £6 and desserts the same.We will definitely be returning.

Found this place as a stop over for lunch whilst travelling from Norwich to Southwold. It is located in an industrial estate. It is clean airy, nicely furnished, clean and most importantly dogs are allowed inside too.Staff are very friendly. There is a team of them to look after all the customers. Price is average. Food was nice, a bit too much actually. I struggled to finish my medium breakfast.Would recommend

We enjoyed a really lovely evening meal in a charming friendly village pub. Great choice from the blackboard menu and well cooked tasty food in generous portions. I had sea bass with wild mushroom risotto and my husband enjoyed the Italian meatballs, with delicious tomato sauce and linguine pasta. What's not to like?Hello Joyce,Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a great review!Kind regards,The Wherry Inn

Arrived in Beccles by boat and looked for a dog friendly pub/restaurant found the Wine Vaults. Fantastic meal and top class service they even provided glasses for my partner who had forgotten hers. The belly pork and lamb dishes were delightful and the best place we have eaten on the South Broads this week thank you

Modern British Cuisine - also serving steaks & burgers. Cocktails wine & spirits, local ales Vegetarian & vegans catered for
I have previously given an excellent review for this restaurant and have been numerous times in between. The latest visit was very disappointing. Poor service and undercooked fish. Menu item refunded but Iâd rather a good meal than a free one. Menu would benefit from more regular changes, as they used to, and less burgers. It was our number one go to special meal out. Sad to say it no longer will be.
