Sittingbourne is an industrial town situated in the Swale district of Kent in south east England, 17 miles (27 km) from Canterbury and 45 miles (72 km) from London. The town sits beside the Roman Watling Street, an ancient British trackway used by the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons and next to the Swale, a strip of sea separating mainland Kent from the Isle of Sheppey. The town became prominent after the death of Thomas Becket in 1170, since it provided a convenient resting point on the road from London to Canterbury and Dover.

This place is literally a hidden gem, found in herne hill lent the perfect local bar restaurant, very friendly and proper customers along with the best staff, owners do everything to make your experience the best it can be, lovely beer garden great atmosphere if you wanted one word in any situation it would be âperfectâ

Went here for a booked meal on a Saturday night as a table of 3. Positives were that itâs set in a gorgeous location with fields and pretty lights. We ate in the conservatory which was nice. Also the waitresses were very nice and helpful.Negatives - Cajun chicken burger was no good it was more like blow your head of spicy and burnt and tough. The bun it was in was toasted til it was hard. Someone else had scampi and liked that.We waited quite a long time for our food to come out and had to keep asking for drinks as they didnât come over and ask.I would definitely go here for an evening drink in the beautiful garden but I really didnât rate the food - Iâm sorry! (Maybe just that dish but then us two had the same thing so couldnât say).
