La Pica Del Indio

It’s so popular that we have to queue! Crowds of people but the cooks and the waiters are fast and we get our meal quickly. We take menu del dia, crema de zapallo (pumpkin soup, delicious!), atun a la plancha con papas al pesto (fried tuna with pesto potatoes, delicious!) and pudding with dulce de leche for 5000 CLP/person.

Beautiful place! Clean, clear, fancy. Expensive compared to other places. Service should be a little better ;). Don't order Pisco from here. They are horrible :(I like the place, but what puts me down when someone suggests goind there is the loud music. It's not only loud. It's super loud for the size of the place, for what the place seems to offer when you pass by. It attracts you . Really! But then it brings you the noise, noise, noise and brings you discomfort. You don't even need to improve the poor Pisco, Roots! Just turn the volume down a bit ;)

Unintentional rhyming! Went here without looking too hard at the menu, were very tired and just on a quick pit stop in town before heading back to the desert. Lesson learned. Service was really good, wifi was really good, but the food was very mediocre - not bad, but nothing special/great. When we got the bill I realized we'd dropped cash as if we were in a fancy restaurant. Yikes! The square is generally overpriced, but I found this place to be particularly so - and without delivering on the kind of quality you'd expect for those prices. Much better options in the immediate vicinity.Unless you're just looking for good wifi - then def at least have a cervesa here :)

We are staying at an AirBNB in the little oasis of Coyo - it is a great tiny community near to San Pedro but not so busy. We wanted to stop by and try their beer but they had closed. We yelled into a man on the property and they actually opened up for us. Had a good stout, and a tasty pale ale/sour, and a taste of their honey beer made with local honey.... interesting! Alexis our host was a delight - he even helped us identify some of the birds and animals we had seen hiking that day - clearly a local booster! Make the trip out to Coyo.....
