Having just spent a couple of weeks in Italy it was great to find this place which is a little different from your normal local eatery. It has a variety of Burgers and Ribs which really did make a change. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We sat outside on a terrace, although the inside does look very funky! This is the kind of place that would become my local if I lived nearby.

My wife and I took a road trip to Piombino and walked by many open cafes, and were drawn into this restaurant by the amazing aromas from Panvinaio and Osterio. Both restaurants are owned by Mamma Carla, but we chose Panvinaio because we were drawn by the panini! She explained what all of our choices for a panini could be in detail, offering us samples, and we each chose different meats and cheeses. They were sooo good, and sooo fresh! Just writing this review makes me hungry! She made us feel like we were in her home having lunch!

It was 6PM and we were hot and thirsty and hungry, but restaurants did not open for another 1.5 hours. Then we noticed this bar that also serves food. The proprietors were really friendly and helpful so we ordered beers. There were no tables outside but we were allowed to move a table outside. We purused the menu and tried an appetizer and were so impressed that we ordered salads and then two "Toast Schiaccia" (a kind of panini but with local, unsalted bread). The salads were fresh and wonderful; the toasts were excellent, too. The beer we ordered was on tap, two blondes, one from Belgium and one from Germany, and a red ale from Belgium. All were really enjoyable.
