This will be one of the best restaurant in Cat Ba town. They got draft beer( bia hoi) ,it was really good and cheap, you should try this when you' re in Viet Nam! There are many yummy local dishes, all was cook by owner . Definitely I will recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We stopped in here after dinner on a nice night in Cat Ba. This place is simply a small outdoor "restaurant" that is situated on the sidewalk of the bridge heading into the main harbour area. Totally unassuming ... a bunch of plastic chairs on the sidewalk.They have a keg of freshly brewed Bia Hai Phong beer ... in March '18 a mug only cost something like 40 cents USD. A nice light beer. I can imagine it would taste even better on a hot August night!Although we didn't order food, they also served a variety of dishes ... many with seafood.

A small family restaurant localed in beautiful Butterfly Valley. This is the oldest settlement on Cat Ba Island. It is a great stop for very fresh home made meals, popular among the rock climbers who come to this valley to climb.Note to climbers:Best to preorder your meal at the Hive. Let them know what time you would like to have lunch/dinner. Go enjoy a stoke day of climbing and return at the agreed time to feast on an excellent meal!Day passes are required to climb here and are available at Outdoor Asia in town.Yes there are butterflies in the valley :)
