Though I wouldn't recommend this as a top place to eat in Piri, I would easily suggest you go have lunch at least once if you are staying more than just a weekend in town. First of all, unlike many higher-rated restaurants, this one is open daily. Secondly, the owner is truly a nice lady. Third, the food is a good quality, very Brazilian, all-you-can eat buffet at a very affordable price range. Last but not least, is the laid back ambiance a bit away from the street - which is one of the busier and more interesting ones if you are shopping for local clothes and arts.Apparently the location is also known for nice music at night and I noticed that some of the waiters are really into rock n'roll.

Restaurante especialista em carnes - Churrasco. Ambiente familiar, espaço infantil, atendimento cortês.
The restaurant is an amazing place and the service is next to outstanding. The staff are friendly and very attentive. This is the most genuine Brazilian food eat experience that I ever had and the food is great. The sides are all good but the meat is amazing. The taste is really good. The rubs and spices are fantastic. The picanha a moda (house rump cap) was one of my favourite but the hump steak was melt in mouth tender. No complaints at all.

While it may be true that you will have to sharpen your incisors to chew through the Churrascaria offerings, the rest of the spread, from the extensive salad bar to the pastas and chickens, are a welcome choice for lunch. With accommodations for at least a hundred diners, it is not a small, intimate eatery. But it is breezy and close by the town church square, and you get a refrigerante with your very reasonably priced lunch. Time your visit. It's only open for lunch until five pm. Recommended. Try the fudge with your cafezinho.

O nome "B
I noticed that several people who just preceded me in their comments got some points absolutely in synch with me - starting with the access, which is a bit dangerous - fortunately, it's not too busy a road, but if you are coming from Pirenópolis by car (as most customers certainly are), you must take great care to enter. Secondly, it is pretty astounding, though not uncommon in Pirenópolis, that credit or even debit cards are not accepted. It limits what one eats, in some ways, as, like so many wrote, prices are actually almost prohibitive. Though the food is good, it's just not necessarily worth it to drive out of town, where there are some equally good or possibly better eateries, to spend money on food which, except for the dessert, is more Brazilian or even international, than actually authentic local cuisine.Yes, service was well-done - our waiter gave us a useful suggestion to change a side-order for our fish dish (peixada - which was with sea fish, which I prefer, but is not really local, as just stated) from pirão to some tasty potatoes with peppers and garlic. And Yes, the historic items and decorations reminded my wife of when she grew up next door to her parents' general store, which is what Venda do Bento years before becoming a restaurant. There are definitely some nice photo ops.Last but not least, though we cannot necessarily attribute it to the food at this locale, my wife did have an unusual tummy ache not too long after our meal there. Unfortunately, in her mind at least, it will be forever connected to this restaurant.

You can enjoy different attractions walking around the place.Natural sources with cristalline water to bath and relax, walking along the river and enjoying the small cascades and receiving nice and relaxing massage from fresh water. Tasting a delicious comfort food, visiting Andorinhas fall... relaxing in the amacas on the firts floor with a spetacular view and finnally swimmming on a pool while sunset colours the sky. A PERFECT DAY !!!

We stayed at the Villa do Comendador so of course we had to check out its cuisine beyond just the breakfast. One thing that stood out - not just at the various eateries, but overall - is the very friendly and generally efficient service (only on one day a waiter in training got a confused about our order, but it ultimately went well). Not sure this is where I comment on the restaurant's pizza nights - so they make their own flour and their ingredients are certainly of good quality, the pizzas are just OK. I did enjoy the one made with shrimp, my wife thought the ones with shimeji a bit without taste. If you stay long enough and on one of the nights pizza is served, of course do try it, just don't expect anything too much.We didn't try all of their dishes of course - there is a very good variety, both dishes with local touches, as well as more international options. I noticed one young man praising the lamb chops - I agree, they were quite good with a blackberry sauce and the shimeji risotto as a side dish. Someone else recommended the robalo-fish with cooked bananas as a side. My wife and daughter liked the chicken parmeggiana, though none of the dishes wowed us, but they were tasty and reasonably priced. The hamburguer is avoidable though. The 2 chicken appetizers we had were well-served - the hot sauce that came with the "tulipas" (closest thing to Buffalo wings) was above average sharp and tasty. All things considered, on a longer stay in Piri I would recommend people go to the Villa restaurant to have something different for dinner - or maybe lunch - especially since many places in Piri only open on weekends and I believe this restaurant is always open - and if you are staying at Villa, of course you should have dinner here at least once.

First a disclaimer: we were treated well and the chef (Alex) and waitress apologized for everything that happened. My wife and I went to Umami on July 2018 for dinner. We ordered 2 risottos and two juices and were told that it would take a long time to process our order. We agreed to wait and said it would not be a problem. 1 hour and 15 minutes passed and we still didn’t see any signs of our juices. We decided to order a water while we were waiting. When the water came, I inquired about the juices and the risottos. Alex apologized and said that due to a mistake our plates were mixed with another table, meaning they were not processing or cooking our order. We ordered then two pastas, the quickest dish in the house. After 30 minutes our plates arrived, and once again we were disappointed: my plate (talharim da vó) was oversalted (and I do like salty food). My wife ordered a talharim with veggies and it was soaked in olive oil, with few vegetables. We also asked for some napkins but were never given any. We ate without them in the end. At the end of the dinner, Alex apologized for the problems. We understand that the restaurant was busy and that it was undergoing some changes in the staff. Still, it didn’t make up for a lost night in Pirenopolis for us. I do hope Umami gets good reviews and becomes the top restaurant in Pirenopolis. Our experience unfortunately was bad. A quote on prices: as of July 2018, a plate costs between 35 to 50 reais and it is well served for one person. I’m very sorry for all of that. Unfortunately I can not( and should not) forget that night. It was nevertheless a good experience for us do not commit the same mistekes. Once again I apologize for what happened. Sincerely regards to you and your wife.

VagaFogo is a ecological sanctuary near the town of Pirenopolis here in Goias, Brazil. We took a group of 23 Wisconsin folks here this morning for the brunch and a walkabout of the grounds, which includes some exotic flora and possible monkey sightings. The the brunch is served in courses with all manner of jams, breads, meats, chutneys, and countless flavorings, all delicious and authentic. Well worth the visit and R$52 per person. Highly recommend you try it - we will be back.
