Pretty much all meals are for two persons. We usually have the "Pescada Portuguesa" but recently opted for the "Pescada Al Muniere". Both are quite good. It is impossible for two normal persons to eat all the food served. But that has always been a trademark of this restaurant. Pricing is moderate for the menu offered. Summing up - good food for a decent price.

We have been visiting Nico and Vania for the last 23 years or so, and the place only gets better. The owners are responsible for the food. Nico fishes...no, he does not...but he goes to the fish market every day (amost) to get the best and the freshest local fishes you can imagine. Vania prepares all the dishes and they all just taste (and look) fantastic. HOWEVER, in my opinion, the best dish they have are the squids...Oh boy, as I mentioned many times before, the best I ever tasted!!!! Anywhere in the world. That is it. If in Barra Velha, come here, enjoy your time, the food and the view. It is worth a while. Thanks Nico and Vania for make our meal so enjoyfull!Obrigada ,pois alem de cliente te consideramos um grande amigo da casa.

Localizado no bairro/balneário de Itajuba, em Barra Velha, o restaurante fica um tanto escondido, numa rua transversal às avenidas principais do lugar. E o achado compensa amplamente. Fomos em quatro pessoas e pedimos Eisbein defumado à pururuca. Um prato, que é generosamente servido, dá perfeitamente para duas pessoas. Muito bom! O custo-benefício é muito bom, pois a excelente qualidade do prato, muito bem guarnecido (por salsichas, chucrute, raiz forte, batatas, mostarda,...), sai por cerca de R$ 90,00. Outro detalhe: o chope servido, muito bom, é produzido no próprio restaurante, onde você também é atendido pelo proprietário.

O lugar é agradável e amplo. Comida por kilo bem variada. Fora as carnes e peixes disponíveis tem um assador fazendo varias carnes na chapa o tempo todo. Saladas para qualquer gosto. O pirão do mar é muito bom. No final sobremesa a vontade e variada. Vale provar o sagu.

Esse restaurante fica perto de nossa casa de praia. Somos sempre muito bem atendidos. Nos sentimentos em casa. Ambiente simples mas muito agradável. Como diz o nome, pé na areia! Petiscos gostosos. Tem um prato feito simples e saboroso, ótimo preço. O feijão tem um temperinho especial. Recomendo.

we ended up here for lunch, very hungry ... we paid R36,90 per head to eat all we could from a salad bar and barbecued spit roasted meat brought to us constantly by the waiters. there was a huge variety of cuts, including lamb, and before we could eat one, they were bringing the next, so we always had hot meat on our plate. there was a reasonable variety of salads to accompany, and in spite of us not speaking Portuguese, the waiters were very patient and happy to help us understand. We left very satisfied, ready for a siesta!

The place is well located, with a great view. Waiters are helpfull and fast. The food is not bad, not impressive. The beer (drafT) is of good quality. But that's it...nothing really that special. A good place to go if you don't have another one to visit.
