Charming restaurant located in the center of Brussels in front of the National Theater with terrace and big capacity for groups and individuals .
Four business colleagues met here during Labelexpo 2019 and enjoyed a thoroughly pleasant evening. Our food and wine was excellent and the service quiet, efficient and beyond reproach. Strangely, we all ordered the same dishes! The beef tartare was tough-chopped rather than being fine, as I like it. The flavour was rich and warm. We all followed with the excellent wild sea bass while for dessert most of us had the selected Belgium cheeses. Donât ask about the wines! Excellent but we had too much. Thanks for a great evening

Their mussels and french fries were not the best I had but it was still quite good. The service was on the other hand truly exceptional!

it is the moment of the holidays we wish to thank our kind customers for its fidelity. we will be closed from July 19 to August 22, 2019 thank you
Tonton Garby gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived at his restaurant. We helped us choose our sandwiches and was very thorough in explaining the ingredients. Theyâre very generous with the cheese and meats so the sandwiches are very tasty. I loved #7. We went back to eat there again after a week and I was surprised that he recognized me (despite serving hundreds of customers in a day) and said âI never forget a smileâ

We like to try the best restaurants when we visit different cities and Le Rabassier is one of Brussels' best. It's menu is choice of four degustation/ tasting menus for various fixed prices. We chose the second one at â¬90 each. Each menu contains similar dishes with the differences being the number of dishes increasing with each step in price. The food was excellent and the wine list extensive. While it was excellent in quality we found the flavours quite strong in some of the dishes (mainly the Parmesan )which took from our total enjoyment. My favourite was the venison which was sooo tender and delicious. It is a small venue with seating for 20 and there was 16 on our night. Making a reservation would be advisable The service was impeccable. Highly recommended

We've opened the doors in 1975 and since then this Brussels bastion of French cuisine has been renovated with his new Chef/owner Maxime Maziers. The elegance of the menu and the ambience is impeccably tailored, while the discreet service has won its own p
Have tried a lot of Michelin star restaurants, this one is special. A very Belgian experience. Cook is amazingly creative. Has reportedly achieved three Michelin stars in the past before deciding market niche was nicer at one star. Went with his tasting menu, was astonished at many new taste sensations and combinations. Not to miss.

we went for the three course set lunch and started with perfect pigeon! Mains was a wonderful steak with fresh cut french fries (both cooked to perfection). We ended with a nice cheese platter. Beautiful winelist with some very interesting french wines at reasonable prices. Friendly chef and staff; cosy interior.

Typical belgian & french restaurant. Quality food and local athmosphere..
Have eaten here on several occasions. This time, I chose from the blackboard which offered three or four different plates for each course, in addition to the standard menu. The meal began with an excellent duck rilletes while we waited for our first course, which was croqettes with smoked eel and foie gras ........... I have eaten this combination before as a terrine, but never as croquettes and it was delicious. This was followed by a wild boar stew which was copious, and served in a dark rich wines sauce with mushrooms, shallots and bacon. A perfectly prepared classic dish which was welcome given the snowy weather.Sadly, we did not have time for desserts. The meal was accompanied by a great prize winning Saint Emilion (2009) from a lesser known chateau which was most enjoyable.Great service provided by the owner and his colleague who made us feel very much at home.Strongly recommended.

You could drive by and not notice this excellent Belgian cuisine brasserie located in the outskirts of the city. Prices are fair and the quality is more then descent. The service is outstanding and exquisite, we had an excellent waiter 'Eric' who was more than helpfull, mannered and just awesome. Its hard to found a place, not too expensive, where the customer really feels taking care of. Parking is easy in the one-way street. Reservations during the weekend are i believe mandotary, if you are lucky, you can get a table as a walk-in. Overall very good food service.Hello,Thank you very much for your nice reaction.Best regards,Brasserie The Spoon

Hard to find a more authentic, honest brasserie in Belgium. This is the archetypical Bruxelles brasserie like it should be: old train station buffet-style décor; Belgo/French-inspired, elegant yet hearty food; staple dishes like moules frites, shrimp & cheese croquettes, fish soup, all done to perfection; swift, firm & friendly service; optimal price/quality.If you want to know what it was like in the days when it was impossible to get a bad meal in Brussels, come here.( - - Take note: There is one English review, as well as several photos posted here (including one of a menu, and one of a pizza) that refer to the wrong Brasserie de la Gare (one near Brussels midi station). The real one that you should go to, is not at midi, but out of the centre, near the St Agatha Berchem train station. It would never offer mediocre pizzas etc. like the other one does!!)

Our restaurant includes a brewery on live, a Belgian beer box shop and deserve more than 30 Belgian beers with local and Belgian gin, whisky... The food is like tapas of the Belgian Food made with local and healthful ingredients!
I donât understand why it has such great reviews, itâs a place with beers and really really limited choice (only 3 was available when we went around 8 pm) and really average food.Hello, we got good reviews because we take care of our clients, work only with local food and because we have a selection of more than 30 reference of beers. We select only alternative beer so the selection change and sometimes sones Brewers can't deliver so fast.We hope this answer got your attention and maybe you can come back to see that we are not so bad :)
