Stopped here on our way to Calais. The scampi was to die for (just don't expect breaded scampi like in England!). All food is cooked over an open fire and served with jacket potatoes along with homemade BBQ sauce, garlic butter, bread and Tartare sauce. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit.

I have been to the Rattevallebrug for over twenty years and have seen it develop from a restaurant that mainly catered for cyclists and locals (not serving chips with their ribs, for example) and low budget to what it is now: very known and always full and middle range budget.For the countless times that I have eaten there, I have been only once slightly disappointed, that is when I took the dish 'seepannetje'. However, I do recommend all their meat dishes. Sitting outside in summer is nice but two weeks ago, the terrace was infested with flies, never had that before. if you go there, do taste their own brewn beer, 't Kuipje. Enjoy, you cannot be disappointed.

A friendly place to stop for a drink, warm or cold or a beer. There are many on tap and cater to the surfers that come and ride the waves. Some cozy chairs and sofas by the window, or one can just hang around the bar.

We just went in without knowing it. We had dinner and it was just nice. Service was very kind and friendly and the view over the beach was great.The prices are - even valuating the quality - are a bit too high. It is pricey there in general, but I find them debatable still. If you can ignore that, you have an enjoyable to have a drink or food.
