We looked for a place to eat and found this on TA. Nice place to have excellent local food, the place was packed with locals having a Sunday lunch. If you are a meat lover go for the huge burgers, they come on a hot plate sizzling ( then you understand why you got an apron). We were recommended this local restaurant by the receptionist in our hotel and we were so happy to get a table without reservation, Wed night in March. Great choice of food and everything we ordered was delicious. Food served to people at tables near us looked great too. We tried to eat here the following night also but it was fully booked when we arrived at 8 10, so be sure to book. You won't be disappointed .

Dopo diverso tempo, sono tornata in questo ristorante di Sammichele... ulteriore conferma della mia ultima visita, servizio sempre eccellente, cucina di qualità e ambiente accogliente e molto pulito. Consiglio il pesce spada alla brace e le crespelle agli spinaci.

For the type of restaurants usually the butchers offer in this part of the country, this place is quite upscale. You may even impress on your first date.I went there for dinner with a friend on a holiday day, so we were the only patrons with another couple. For this I can't judge much on the service, which was at attentive otherwise.The quality of food os definitely worth paying a bit more money considering also the environment.

I have been to this restaurant few days ago with my family, and we have been extremely satisfied from the dinner. We had a mix of starters, some grilled meat, and some desserts. Everything was delicious, from the beginning to the end. I was mainly surprised that, in a place where the speciality is traditional cusine and grilled meat, they also have some very creative dishes as starters or desserts, and a great care for details and presentation. I appreciate that, despite this place is well known in the area, they keep on working in order to be up to date and renovate their menu with very interesting and original options rather than simply offering the same traditional successfull dishes.The service if kind and nice. The location and the athmosphere is ok, nothing special, but I would say that it does not really matter in this case, as the food is so delicious.I am not 100% sure about the price, but I am pretty sure it is very much ok, given the great quality of the food.Really recommended!

Just a short drive from Bari and 30 minutes inland from the popular seaside resorts of central Apulia lies the town of Sammichele di Bari, an undiscovered jewel famous for its castle and butchers who feature the famous zampina spiral sausage. Here we discovered a new restaurant which features a variety of meat dishes, authentic Pugliese cusine and wines locally sourced. The restaurant 4 Miglia or four miles opened in August. The night we visited it was completely full and a reservation is recommended. The young owner and host was very welcoming and service was first rate. We ordered the Pugliese antipasto which included mature cheeses, the local mozzarella, cured meats, grilled vegetables, breaded meatballs, zapina in tomato sauce and much more. We chose the house wine which was a blend of local Aglianico and Cabernet and paired well with the meats. For main we selected the aged beef steak finished to perfection on hot stone at the table, grilled zampina and bombette or small pieces of meat, wrapped in cheese and grilled. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a 16th century palace. Both have been beautifully restored with a large terrace for the warmer weather surrounded by planters containing fresh herbs. Prices are moderate and commensurate with those in the area which makes this a great value. Parking is easy to find.

Ottima location con personale capace e cortese, la qualità dei panini devo dire ottima, i panini partano da 9⬠fino a 12â¬, che a mio avviso ne valgano quasi tutti unica cosa aggiungerei il contorno a scelta nel prezzo del panino. Per il resto il servizio è da ristorante quindi tra cambio di posate e cambio piatto sembra dâessere in un ristorante. Purtroppo è quasi sempre vuoto visto che la locazione
