My husband & I went there for dinner and it was SO SO good! It was just what we were looking for! We both got the combo meals (ribs, smoked sausage, burnt ends, pulled pork, and brisket). I highly recommend it as they have huge portions and great services as well!

Authentic pit cooked fresh daily on site. Full half chicken and fresh daily side fixin's are absolutely delicious. You will never have to reach for a salt or pepper shaker. Even the desserts are hand made on site with attention to detail which will give you fond memories of how momma or grandma used to make it. Even the chicken breast is moist and tasty. Cornbread is unique and delicious! This is one of the locals best kept secrets. I am continually surprised I am not waiting in a long line to get served. This is probably one of the best meals you haven't eaten yet! But don't tell too many friends. I won't be able to get near enough to get mine for the long lines!! Shhhh!!!

Nothing is better than eating Zippin' Pig's hickory smoked country barbecue or farm-made ice cream on beautiful Foxfire Mountain. Foxfire Mountain is a relaxing 150-acre mountain farm which also offers zip lining, ATV rides, hiking trails, waterfalls, yar
A great time at FoxFire Mountain with guides Chad and Justin. This was a thrilling family adventure that we will be talking about for years. The sites were beautiful and the zip lining experience was exhilarating. Certainly a bucket list activity to remember with true professionals at FoxFire

Try the burnt ends appetizer. It was delicious. I had the combo dinner with ribs, chicken tenders, and pulled pork. Served with mac and cheese and corn casserole, both good. Hubby had a steak, ribeye I think. Steak was average. They only have their signature bbq sauce and it's vinegar based. If you don't like vinegar based sauces, you're out of luck here. Tried to get a side of the spicy bbq sauce but was denied and can't remember why. This was our 2nd time there. The first time we were there to try the ribs, and someone recommended we try again and get the steak. The ribs are passable, but not straight dry rub smoked and served. They are basted in bbq sauce, too, so remember the vinegar bbq sauce comment above. Atmosphere is nice, staff are friendly. Wait staff were somewhat slow, but nice enough.

Tuesday night the place was pretty empty and we were seated straight away. Waitress & waiter very friendly and helpful. The menu choices are many and varied from BBQ to baked potato so you should find something to suit; but not much for vegetable eaters. We both went for the brisket plate which came with a choice of side. I went fries and my partner chose sweet potato fries.Took about 30 minutes for food to arrive which was fine. The meat was tender, smoky and tasty. Was probably cut a bit thin for my liking and could have been as it wasnât tough. The fries were good; crispy, with a bit of salt on them. For sure they were hand cut.Desserts; O M G they are huge and for 10 bucks you only need one of them. We chose death by chocolate and it probably will be by the time we finish it.All in all, this was good honest food at reasonable prices with good service in a clean restaurant. Iâd go back tomorrow if I were staying in town.

We also do caterings on nights and weekend on any day of the week! Even on Saturday and Sunday!
This is the best place I've ever eaten at on vacation or home. Everything is perfect. The lady taking the orders couldn't be any nicer and seems very sincere. I think it deserves every star plus some. There is no way to describe how awesome this experience was in words. I've never left a restaurant feeling so pleased. Try this place if you are within an hour of it.

We visited on a Thursday night and it was quite a wait.. about 40 minutes so we had high hopes.. we got a variety of dishes.. our favorite was the boudin balls.. we had never tried those before. It was a lot of food for the money, but it was not my favorite dinner. If I was to go again.. I would try the catfish as everyone seems to love it. The bread pudding also looked very good but we werenât wanting any dessert.
