The employees were very nice, and the service was very good. We ordered salads with shrimp and chicken for lunch. The saladsâ quantities were surprisingly small, but the ingredients were fresh, but had too much iceberg lettuce. The chicken with saladâs flavor was enhanced by the 2 its two sauces, which is a good thing, otherwise it would have been too bland. The shrimp on the salad were competely limp, lukewarm to cold, and totally undercooked. The manager apologized, and offered to cook the shrimp herself. She brought a new salad, and the small shrimp were done this time. In no way were the average and unremarkable salads worth $11+ each. Do yourself a favor and have a salad at Moonieâs Burger House instead.

I had been told about Liberty BBQ by two friends that absolutely raved about their experiences and had even had return visits. They claimed it was so good. Our experience was just ok. We started by ordering the deviled eggs and trash fries. Both sounded great. The filling in the eggs was flavorless although the bacon on top was tasty. Even a tad of season salt would have helped the flavor. The trash fries also looked very good but the brisket on top was dry and again lacked flavor. From there we ordered some turkey, brisket and ribs. While the meats were tender nothing about the flavor stood out as exceptional. Barbecue sauce did help but I like my que a la natural. Our party of four was underwhelmed. We also ordered the mac n cheese which came on flat bread. That was probably the best part of our meal, sadly. Service was sporadic. Restaurant was not all that busy. Ambiance is great. I hope Liberty can improve on the flavor quality and make it as a downtown restaurant in Round Rock. For now, if you want tasty bbq head to Smokey Moes or The Salt Lick.

I just ordered 1lb of brisket and some desert via UberEats. I asked for "extra lean". What I got I wouldn't feed to a dog if I cared about it. It actually looked like boiled fatty dog itself. I called to and asked to talk to a manager and I got disconnected even thought the poor girls answering the phone was taken aback. Sorry $28 for garbage. I guess its OK if your there and you can send iy back but what kind of low lives do that.

eggcellent chef salad! see what i did there? I had t with brisket my wife had it with chicken. I'ts a lot of salad and very tasty.Thank you for the eggcellent comment. The chef salad at pok-e-jo's has an interesting history and origin for a BBQ place. Whether is it full on 4 meat plate or the sauteed veggies (for the non carnivores out there) we take pride in what we offer to try to satisfy the tastes of all of our guests (we can't please all the people all the time, but we can try.) We hope you and your wife will come back again soon and try all the the different meats we offer on the Salad, my favorite is on Wednesday when we offer Pork Loin. If you like a little kick try the Hatch Green Chili Sausage on it. While supply lasts, of course. It is folks like you and your wife that help us to keep Smokin' for almost 40 years.Like our company blogger says, "Bone" appetit!

Wife and I went for lunch, want to go back. Pulled pork was amazing, brisket was really good. Loved the fries, potato salad was solid, sweet tea was perfect, even the bread was great. I was only disappointed in the beans. Service was good, atmosphere was nice and price was on par. Great meal and experience overall.
