We needed dinner in Punta Arenas on a Sunday night when most restaurants are closed. Jekus is located on a "restaurant street" where a few places were open. La Luna looked a little better, but they couldn't seat us, so we went to Jekus (which was also crowded, but had a table). We'd be in interior Patagonia for several days eating meat, so we wanted some fish. Not too many choices on the menu, but they had conger eel and salmon dishes with seafood sauces. Food seemed a little expensive to us with entrees about US$18 (but we had just been in Argentina, where their currently weak peso and strong culinary tradition makes dining a pleasure). My wife and I split a huge draft beer (800 ml) for about US$5 (as Americans, we usually order alcohol with dinner in Chile, because overpriced non-alcoholic beverages work like a cover charge, with basically a glass of water in a tiny bottle costing about US$3 -- might as well have beer for that price!).Both fish dishes were good, but not exceptional. If you're a norteamericano, don't be afraid to try the eel; it tastes good, a little like lobster. Service was slow, but not terrible (and the restaurant was busy). If it weren't Sunday, I'd definitely pick another restaurant and even on a Sunday, I'd probably try someplace else. But if you wander into Jekus, you probably will get a decent if not memorable meal.

With a cozy and rustic patagonic decoration this place has a selection of the best of the patagonian cuisine based on grilled meat of lamb and cow. Well cooked, delicious and authentic. Friendly and helpful style. Should be one of the firs choices if you like meat and visit Punta Arenas.

This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend, so we went. We had the lamb-- one of the house specialties, which is three courses of different types of lamb meat. Incredibly good if you like lamb, but a LOT of food and only lamb. Be hungry if you go. Also, order sides, or it's just too much meat. (and i love lamb) desserts are just so-so average. Service was slow and not very friendly. Lots of tourists here. good strong pisco sours. VERY expensive-- the highest cost meal of our entire trip. many other options in town-- so weigh the pros/cons carefully.

San Telmo Restaurant is the first thematic restaurant specialized in grilled meats. You will find at San Telmo a traditional argentinian stile restaurant with delicious steak, argentinian style.
We were there for 31st Dec booked last minute. The menu was pre-set with a choice for the main dish, and everything was very tasty, well presented, with a very attentive and friendly service. From outside it may not be very attractive, interiors are not luxurious but the eating experience is excellent. Prices very reasonable. Easy street parking available.

We were 6 in the table. Fortunately we booked our table in advance. Excellent quality/price relation. Good wines with reasonable prices. All of us ordered meat which was super. The place is very well presented. Is not a luxury place because it's and all construction very well recover. Plates arrived on time and well presented
