Discover Restaurants offering the best Barbecue food in Pozzuoli, Province of Naples, Italy. Just a few miles west of Naples (and easily reached by train), the ancient seaside city of Pozzuoli is probably best known for its bradyseism, a raising and lowering of the Earth’s surface due to underground volcanic activity. Many sites remain from Pozzuoli’s days as an important Roman port, including the Macellum or Temple of Serapis, which for many years was submerged under water. The Flavian Amphitheater (Italy’s third-largest) and the Cathedral of Rione Terra are other popular attractions.

This restaurant was fantastic, from the moment we arrived (30 minutes before it officially opened) until we left over 3 1/2 hours later. We were made to feel incredibly welcome and were seated at a table with a beautiful view. It was like being in a treehouse above a lake.We had the less expensive tasting menu, and everything we ate was outstanding. My only quibble was that the fried zucchini balls weren't anything special, but I think that's more to do w zucchini itself, not a weak recipe. The service throughout the meal was excellent. We felt well cared for, but not bothered. We drank some excellent rose and red wine, and we even bought an extra bottle for our designated driver to have later. I hope to have the chance to go back one day - it was a delightful and delicious meal.

Ate dinner on a Friday evening in July. The restaurant opens early (6:30pm) and starts serving food around 7:00pm. Parking out front or on the street was adequate. The chicken was delicious. The baked beans were very good, in my opinion. Prices were reasonable. Staff were pleasant and attentive. I will definitely return for another meal.

Our group was staying at the agriturismo down the road and looked at the La Cantina every day as we passed by. It looked very interesting and we planned on making this our dinner stop on the final night of our trip. We were not disappointed. After seating us, our waiter poured glasses of prosecco as a welcome, as well as baskets of bread. The staff helped us through the menu with our limited knowledge of Italian and everyone had a fabulous meal. The décor would be described as 'country' with numerous antiques. It's a very family friendly restaurant and was an excellent cap to a marvelous week. I highly recommend La Cantina dell' Abbazia.Thank you so much Mary.We hope it is only the first of many other times, here with us. We are very pleased that it was all to your liking and that we could keep up the important value of Italian cuisine but especially that of Neapolitan cuisine. We'll wait for you next time, to make you taste all the other dishes.See you soon!

This is an amazing place for all manner of folks looking for both traditional food from the Campania region and or just great roast meats. As you enter the place you are welcomed by slabs of meat in refrigerated compartment where it ages nicely and long . The compartment has glass walls and you can look at the meat (pretty much as you do in some NYC steakhouses which have obviously inspired this) prior to ordering it. The public is generally made out of Italian patrons but there is also a fair number of foreign customers mostly from the NATO bas not far away. If you go for the whole menu you are probably not going to be able to finish it. So, be wise and order what you can manage. It is going to be plenty anyway. Everything is great quality here, highly recommended. When I was there we were close to the wood stove and that was a little too warm for confort since Naples climate (even in winter) is not really requiring that kind of supplementary heat.

It was perfectly fine and the staff was nice. After the other reviews I read here though I expected more. We went on a weeknight and it was not busy at all and the food was fine but nothing out-of-the-ordinary special.

On Lungomare, this pub offers great variety of beers and hamburgers. We tried the vegetarian one (a bit dry, so ask for extra sauce). We also had Patate fritte alla Caprese (similar to Quebec's famous Poutine) a must try! Great place to get away from pizza and pasta only restaurants.Thank you for your positive review! :)See you soon,Federica

Surprised at first by ambiance in the restaurant, it doesn't really look like a burger place. Good service, you're welcomed with a glass of Prosecco... definitely sounds like a fancy restaurant. But when the burgers came, we understood it wasn't a joke, this place is really for burgers. Very tasty, good choice of homemade breads, meat, and cheese. Plates are beautiful, ingredients are fresh and quality. Wide variety of beers, everything was perfect. Ottimo !
