Barbecue Inn was like trip back in time without a smoking section. The food very good with large portions and good choices. The name is a little miss leading the fried shrimp and chicken were great but, I will try the barbecue on another visit.:The house made pies looked great but, I gave up dessert for lent. Maybe my next visit. The Tomball TravelerThank you for your review! We are so happy you enjoyed dining with us and hope you will try our tender brisket and mouthwatering ribs on your next visit!

I have visited the Spring Creek restaurants in several locations around Houston, but mostly the location on Cypress Creek Parkway (FM1960) near Veterans Memorial. The meats are delicious, and they offer a variety of sides to accompany them; some better than others. Pros: Friendly staffCons: Surprisingly, the Mac and cheese is simply not tasty at all. It is bland and non-cheesy which is weird as it is Mac and CHEESE. The prices have increased to the point of being non-competitive and they donât bring the fresh baked rolls around anywhere as often as they did when the place first opened.

Met a friend here for lunch. Be warned this place is wall to wall people during lunch and parking could be difficult and itâs noisy I mean ear ringing noisy. I would recommend visiting after the lunch rush, regardless it was totally worth the noise because the food was superb.

Checked this place out after watching Triple D on the TV.Ordered the loaded fries and crab & brisket pocket (see pics) as shown on Triple D. Both were absolutely superb and lived up to Guy Fieriâs reviews. Will definitely be back when next in the area.

Established in 1977. This is the place, a real authentic Texas cafe. Hickory Hollow has been serving exceptional Texas comfort food with Texas hospitality since 1977.. We're best known for traditional Texas-style barbecue and chicken fried steak and have
Self-seating and serving. Chicken fried steaks (CFS) are some of the best in the state. The gravy is a thicker, yellow type so be aware if you are expecting a more traditional white gravy. It's great on the potatoes. Be aware that the "Large Rancher" CFS needs to be labeled super-large. I have seen multiple people order it thinking "I can handle it" and their eyes pop out when its delivered on a pizza pan with steak falling over the edges. My 10-year old loves the mashed potato bites because they are spicy and I love the grilled zucchini as a healthy choice over starchy mashed potatoes or fried options.
