Restaurant Konavoski Komin is a rural household with Dubrovnik and Konavle region dishes. It also means that all of our goods come from our garden and all our ingredients are locally grown before being served at your table. We can accommodate groups as we
We took the taxi to the top of the mountain (220 kuna from Cavtat) and walked back down after eating. There are two different roads going down, a hiking path and the driving road, so don't miss the start of the hiking path like we did (quite near the restaurant, with a large map sign). We had to walk the longer way down by the road (about 8-9 km), while the hiking path is about 5-6 km. We realized it too late and didn't bother to turn back anymore. The restaurant itself was very nice and the food inexpensive. It's a farm house far away from the tourist crowds down in Cavtat. The waitress, who was probably one of the owners, spoke a bit of English and we had fun watching their kittens playing outside the restaurant. You can't see down the mountain from the restaurant, but when hiking up or down, the view to Cavtat and Dubrovnik airport is quite stunning.

We passed by here by chance with our rented car as we were exploring the surroundings. Found this lovely restaurant and then we went back 2 times as it was so good! Really recommend the grilled squids, octopus salad and the grilled fish! The other dishes were also very good but these 3 were our absolute favourites. The waiter, who is also the owner, was fabulous and very nice giving us sightseeing points. We loved it and will definitely come back if we ever visit Dubrovnik again! In case the owner reads this: we were the 3 Chinese girls who visited you 3 times :-)

Small but fabled dining room that that overlooks garden and a children's play area. We focus on top quality and when it comes down to it, it's all about the steak.
It was an all right experience. We came in late very hungry after a long daytrip. They did not have that much on the menu-card which is normally a good sign. They waitress was nice, a bit clumbsy, but that was okay. The food was a bit boring, mostly meat and not that much food on the side.

Despite being on a busy road junction, TA reviews suggested I might find a good meal here. I was happy to sit by the open window facing the junction; that didnât disturb me, particularly as the sound of the American country music was quite lulling. My waitress was pleasant if lacking personality, allowing me to sit by the window by myself, despite the table being set for six - it was obviously not busy.My lamb chops and side salad were ok, and a plentiful serving, but the meat was a little on the tough side. The salad was not served with any finesse, just separate âpilesâ of tomato, cucumber and onion (I love the sweetness of the red and white onions i be been served in Croatia), and it would have been nice if my waitress had checked on me mid-meal: it wasnât as if the restaurant was terribly busy. She finally turned up, just as I thought she must have gone off shift. Didnât ask me about my meal; didnât ask me if I wanted anything else. I guess I was surprised that, given its location and general standard, this establishment charged as much as some of the seafront restaurants, yet offered significantly less.

Family restaurant Konoba Popret on Brgat is property of the Nadramija family. Apart from the classic selection of dishes, Popret offers delicacies such as lamb and pork, a wide wine selection and homemade desserts. It is an ideal place for all types of ce
I cannot rave enough about this restaurant. It is family-run, and our kids played soccer with theirs while we drank wine and enjoyed the view. Our server was one of the sons who runs the restaurant. He started our visit off by showing us how the food is cooked. You MUST CALL THE NIGHT BEFORE to order certain dishes. We had the octopus (to die for melt in your mouth) , lamb and veal. It takes four hours to cook these dishes so just call ahead. We also ordered the home made gnocchi, the chicken, a charcuterie board, and wine. I has asked for a fish dish, and he brought me the meal his family was eating for dinner. It was heavenly. The whole experience was a once in a lifetime MUST DO. The family came in vans and picked us at at Ploce Gate. We paid around 600 kuna for this and it was well worth it. They took us right to our doors after the dinner. This is family style restaurant so the dishes are huge. We fed 11 people stuffed to the gills. I cannot stress enough that if you want a true Croatian foodie experience, go to Konoba Popret. Oh, and lest I forget.....ITS CHEAP! We had a meal that in the States would easily have cost $1000. It was $300. For 11 people. Including the wines and other drinks.

We called here on the recommendation of our taxi driver and we were glad we did. We did not book but arrived as soon as it opens at 7pm ( only opens 7pm to midnight) We were very lucky to get a table as numerous parties were being turned away as it was fully booked all week. The place is situated above the tree line looking at the sea. It was run by very friendly welcoming staff. The food was exceptional and well priced. We had muscles to start and what a huge portion. Mains were cooked on a wood fired bbq right in front of you. Both meat and fish were delicious. Highly recommend a visit and what a sunset eating our muscles!
