Went there for take out because I loved the rack of ribs I ate in that place three years ago. I was expecting the same experience today, 01/31/2019 shortly after 5:00 pm. When I got home, ten minutes away, I found that the ribs were undercooked, raw inside (not "rare") and their edges were even seeping blood. The fries looked and tasted as if they had been leftovers, hard and with a deep-orange color, as if they had been refried. The corn bread, the cole slaw and the sauce were okay, I suggest that, if you go there, don't get the take out and immediately leave. When you get the order open the black container to check if the ribs and the fries were cooked right. Better yet, eat in and complain to the server if the food was not properly cooked.Our sincere apologies and thank you for the honest feedback. That is not how I like to send my food out at all. We would like you to give us another chance. When you come back, please ask for Jim or Dottie, and we will make it right for you.

My family and I eat here as often as we can! The variety of meats all have a great smoky flavor. For most you choose the sauce you want. The baby-back ribs already have the most amazing rib sauce on them and the meat literally falls off the bone! The burgers are great, as well as are all of their home-style sides. The servers are fast and friendly, our favorite is Michele. She really makes us feel welcome, and our orders are always correct!

Arrived here for an early dinner(4pm) with 2 friends and we were seated immediatelySharniece was a super server!My friends recommended the baby back ribs, so I ordered a half rack which was served with two sides and garlic toast ($11.99). OMG - the lima beans were really very good! A nice change! Half rack was plenty!Thanks much! Looks like you love Texas or are from Texas. I grew up in Vernon (50 miles west of Wichita Falls). Iâll pat Sharnice on the back and Iâll let Chef Sammy know that you love his Lima beans. Heâs been making them for Oakwood for 21 years.

We had a group of nine. We were seated immediately. Eric was our server and extremely helpful. Our group had steaks, brisket, ribs, chicken and crab legs. Everyoneâs order was correct and fabulous. Great funky atmosphere and really really good sandwiches. Order at the register, pay, find a table and wait for your name to be called..........try not to drool while waiting. You will be rewarded with a very large sandwich with amazing flavor. Beer on hand should you find yourself thirsty. Prices in line with quality of food. Go there, you won't be sorry.

The fries were delicious as were the chicken sandwiches but the pickles kind of threw the taste off a bit. The Cobb salad needed more dressing but was ok. The brisket could have been better had they sliced it and not chopped it and had they given it to me fatty like I asked and NOT lean like they did. The beans were good as well as the corn bread but the fried corn was gross. Never taking that again. Will be back and hopefully they will get my brisket right next time.

I had never been to this place but had heard good things. I ordered 2 ordinary things, ribs and chicken. The chicken had no smoke flavor at all. It was white and tasted like it was cooked in a pressure cooker. Ribs were OK but nothing special. Price was high for BBQ, much less bad BBQ.

K and I decided to try Ovations, it was our first time and we went on a Wednesday night. Place was packed and it would have been at least a twenty minute wait until a couple got up from the bar and we took their seats. Note to self: make reservations! The bar crowd was exceptionally friendly and we met several new friends. Patrick the bartender was exceptional making sure our drinks were perfect and consulting on menu choices. I chose the Lamb shank with a side of broccoli and wild rice but changes it to garlic mashed potatoes. K had the combo ribs chicken plate with coleslaw and the garlic mashed potatoes like me. She said it was the best coleslaw âshe didnât make herselfâ, and the chicken and ribs were delicious. My dish arrived with the rice instead of the garlic mashed potatoes. Patrick went back and got me a dish of gmpâs. The lamb fell off the bone and the sides were fantastic. Since we live about ten minutes from Ovations I think we found our new âgo toâ restaurant. Make reservations if you want to be sure to get a table but the bar is a great place to enjoy a meal and the ambiance! Donât miss this place!Thanks for coming! Our Bunco group has several times enjoyed lunch at Ovations in Lakeland. Today we had another great meal. We had 9 women in their large round booth, and had a great server, Kristina. She was very friendly and on the spot with everything we needed. The food was very good and the lunch specials are very affordable. One of the managers let us share some delicious desserts on the house. Weâll definitely be back again! If I could give them 10 stars or more I definitely would!!!!! Their burger was..........AHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMAAAAAAAZZZZZZZIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! I'm not big on burgers but I've gone to a few places looking for a burger that would really spike my taste buds; lots of ppl recommended 5Guys and I WAS NOT impressed at all!!!!....the red top on the other hand?
