What a stunning establishment, with all the romance of a small lane, a burning exposed fire grill for the food we were about to partake in, and the most beautiful interior of vaulted ceilings - like those you see in a church. The menu was a mix of a la carte, or the specials of the day. The wait staff were friendly, and professional, and helpful given language and allergies were a concern for our party. Our Spanish waitress was delightful, funny, professional, and attentive. The FOOD, was delicious, with choices of Boueff, Pork, Fish, snails. Side dishes of fresh carrots, beans, and potatoes. The wine of course from the region was the perfect accompaniment for our meal - order the house wine, by the carafe, it was fabulous. What we all commented on was how the taste of meals remaind with us as we strolled through this very pretty town on our return home. Well done Le Grenier a Sel. We have returned for a second meal and the standards have not changed, the value exceptional E18.50 pp, for dinner in France, therefore it is very easy to highly recommend this exceptional establishment.

we have been here several times before but now it has changed. More modern interior with chairs and lamps and different ambiance. This place is all about the steak, which was fantastic. The foix gras for starter was also delicious, very high quality.The staff were very good too, welcoming and professional.The only draw back is that we were sat upstairs, which doesn't have the same atmosphere as the ground floor with the huge flame grill where you can watch the steaks being cooked.Otherwise, very good restaurant for steak lovers.
