This place is a hidden gem of Martina Franca. We came here with a coupon and our expectations weren't high (unfortunately, that's what happens with coupons). Well, the owner went above and beyond to satisfy us. Not only we were brought much more food than was stated in our coupon, but the food itself was delicious! For instance, fava beans were missing (they run out of them), but instead we were brought 3 other plates just to compensate the missing dish. Special thank you for the salad and tomatoes - they are really sweet, not every restaurant cares for that. And the meat - while it was just an average quality of meat, I suspect the salt was added DURING preparation - something very unusual for Italian kitchen (I don't know why they add salt in the end only) which made the grilled meat more delicious. By the end of the meal we were so full we didn't take pizza that was included. The desert. We had a panna cotta (only one type of desert offered). It was the best panna cotta I have ever eaten! It came with a special compliment from the kitchen - with a generous slice of melon. We came on a Sunday night and there was karaoke. While personally I'm not a fan of it, I'd imagine for some people it'd be appealing. The owner is a laid back guy who you can joke with and have fun. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. With the amount of food we got, we would expect such a treatment from a friend, not an unknown restaurant and definitely not when you walk in with a coupon. We will definitely come back!

Our group of four had a wonderful dinner at Braceria Local Carni last week. We ordered the mixed grill (which included lamb, bombette and sausage), some grilled vegies, a salad and the house Primitivo wine. The meats were perfectly grilled and absolutely delicious. The vegies and salad made a nice accompaniment to the meats, and the house Primitivo was lovely and a very good value. The service struck just the right note: welcoming and attentive, but we were given just the right amount of space to have a nice visit with our friends. Our waiter's warm and professional demeanor, along with the delicious meal, made this a place I would like to return to often. The decor is comfortable and unassuming. By the end of the meal, nearly every table was full of local customers (I assume), making us feel that we had selected a local favorite for our meal. The food, the service, the reasonable price, and the happy vibe in the restaurant combined to make this one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we've had in Puglia. Highly recommended.

We arrived at 8:00 for dinner and by 8:30 the noise level was deafening. Our waitress was great in helping us navigate the menu and ordering process, but the noise created by other diners made us want to leave even before dinner was done.

One of the newer restaurants in Martina Franca, it's actually a short ride out of the centre but well worth a visit. On entering the restaurant there is a display area containing a large selection of meat. From this you make a selection or selections (be careful not to over order - they will wrap any leftovers). The chops are magnificent, whatever meat you choose. There is a choice of sausages and bombette. A portion of well prepared fries is recommended. There is a small but interesting selection of wines by the bottle as well as wine by the carafe. This could become a new favorite for us.

Found opposite the church in San Paolo above the butchers lies this little treasure. The window to the kitchen invites you to see the dishes being cooked. Tables are very close together and I found it a bit intrusive at times. The meat was good and the presentation lovely. Service was a bit slow at times, but this is quite normal in the area. Good selection of wines. Go early or book at weekends. Would go again.

In a cosy small room you can enjoy a wide range of local meats,home-made salamis and the famous Capocollo(salami made from pork) of Martina Franca. Quality product, included by the Slow Food foundation among the hundred foods to be protected,it comes from
The Capacollo, salami and other meats are made by the family during the day and served in the small restaurant of an evening. Everything served is excellent quality and extremely tasty, the capacollo (a speciality of Martina Franca is wonderful - one of the best I have tried) is home made and very good. The service is welcoming and friendly in a small and intimate environment. This restaurant is away from the city centre but worth the effort to find.

Top 6 Steakhouse food in Martina Franca, Province of Taranto, Italy
We found this place quite by chance, you pick the meats you want from a butcherâs style counter, they have steaks, sausages, bombettes, chicken wings and a whole host of local delicacies. They seat you in the restaurant and you can choose drinks, appetisers and side dishes for your mains. They were really helpful and friendly and this was the only place in Puglia that we visited more than once! Itâs full of locals and always busy so you know itâs going to be good and reasonably priced too.
