The food was good enough for the price we paid. Nothing spectacular, but no regrets. Great variety of dishes and regional choices.Our server was great, very attentive without being intrusive. She kept drinks filled and table clear.Even if it didn't quite blow you away, we're happy to know that you enjoyed all the food. So here is our first visit to MoâBettahs and I must say I was impressed. It might seem slightly on the expensive side but it really wasnât that bad for all you got. In fact we ended up taking some home. We both had the mixed plate with chicken and pork with rice. We opted for the side salad which we ended up taking home. Itâs well worth a stop if your looking for s filling meal with some to take home (for the average eater). We would go here again.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit, West Valley City, Utah, is located near a WinCo Foods store where we do our weekly grocery shopping. Walking toward the grocery store, you can experience E.D. - Essence of Dickey's - the great smell of smoking barbeque. We often stop at Dickey's to take food home, although the restaurant has a large dining area that is always clean. We recently splurged on the XL Family Pack ($59.95) which feeds 6-8 people and includes 3 meats, 4 sides, 8 rolls, and bbq sauce. A nice "extra" at Dickey's is the complementary soft-serve ice cream and containers are provided for those with take-out orders. Our order consisted of well-smoked pork ribs, smoked beef brisket, pulled pork, fried onion tanglers (our favorite), smokey bbq beans, and baked potato casserole. All dishes are well-prepared and flavorful. The staff was efficient, and a bit amusing when my spouse, who made the order and was the only one in line at the time, was asked if her order was "for here or to go?" Since one person could not eat this order alone, her co-worked teased her for the bit of a slip. Dickey's meat plates range from $10.75 to $12.75 (includes 2 sides, roll, pickles & onion), while rib plates are $13.75. Sandwiches are from $4.95-$7.95. Meats can be purchased by the pound, whole ($11.95) or trimmed and sliced ($13.95). A one-meat/two-side Picnic Pack is $26.95 and a two-meat/three-side Family Pack is $45.95. Dickey's offers consistently good barbeque and we are repeat customers.

Ate at Dickey's for the first time yesterday. The meat is exellent, very tender and flavorful. The barbecue sauce is a bit weak though. Could be thicker and richer. The sides are delicious also. Wish they had a sweet potato dish. Also a sampler platter would be nice with some amounts of chicken, ribs, brisket, etc. The daily "speical" is a good bargain. The staff was friendly and patient as we worked our way through an unfamiliar menu. After ordering they reminded us to help ourselves to free "pickles and ice cream." So funny!The ambience is country fresh. Everything is clean and inviting. A good place to bring the whole family.
