The locals eat here in force as well as knowledgeable tourists looking for great southern BBQ, catfish or seafood. This out of the way restaurant is housed in a plain jane building a few miles from the Greenbrier exit from I565. The building oozes with old southern culture. I get the small pork plate that would easily pass as the large plate at most restaurants. The BBQ pork is so good I never even reach for the sauce. Free unlimited, hot hush puppies add to the experience.

Fast friendly service. Good food. Great prices. Nice atmosphere... I had the pulled pork sandwich with two sides and a fountain drink. Great vinegar based coleslaw and baked beans complimented my sandwich. I really enjoyed this... thanks!

Lots of people recommended Joe Mo's, so we gave it a try. The owner is very friendly, helpful and treated us like family. We each got a pork sandwich, potato salad, baked beans and a Coke. Excellent quality on the sandwich, came with a little cup of sauce, baked beans were sweet and spicy and potato salad helped cool the fire. Definitely a find! Will be coming back soon.
Four of us met here for dinner after work on a Tuesday. The meat pies (empanadas) that people spoke highly of are only available on Wednesdays, so we weren't able to try them. The brisket was very tender and juicy, and I am an old Brisket Snob from Texas. The banana pudding was good, but the pulled pork was rather dry and unexciting. We will give this place another shot after they work out the kinks.
