I popped in here after a day of driving for a couple of beers. They have a great selection of world craft beers. I opted for the Kafalonia Lager though, as this is a beer I probably wouldn't find anywhere other than the island.

We had a lunch here. Lovely place with lovely atmosphere. Lightning fast service, smiling and kind staff. We had two types of grilled pork, pita gyro, tzatziki, and local wine. The wine was excellent, porks were outstanding, they were extremely tasty! That was the best place in Kefalonia where we had meal! And it just moderately priced. I recommend it from my heart.

The usual fare of full English, burgers, toasties, jacket potatoes,chips etc. All good value. What sets it apart, is that you can ask Dave in advance for special requests, and he does his utmost to provide it, including curries, steaks, fish and chips, soups. Quite extraordinary on his limited equipment. I resisted the temptation to ask for a Sunday roast, but I have no doubt he would have given it a go!

Small traditional Greek "kabab house" Restaurant with pavement seating only. Would be far too hot inside due to the cooking on open charcoal grill and the size of area. Very popular with locals and tourists. Small menu that seems to get smaller every time you ask for a dish from the menu but chose a starter of spicy cheese served with bread (2.00 â¬) follows by pork gyros (6.50 â¬) and Chicken Souvlaki (7.50 â¬) both served with chips, tzatziki and salad. Litre carafe of the house white to accompany (6.50 â¬).Food was well cooked, large portions and very tasty with exceptional pita bread to accompany the dish. We visited a second time and went for the Souvlaki of pork and chicken. We did want to try other items on the menu such as grilled chicken fillet or beef burger but these were not available, shame!! Another litre of house wine with this meal however this was special village wine, strange and amber in colour and was a little raw. No frills eatery but good value and tasty.Service is fabulously friendly, great guy front of house, bit of a joker and we enjoyed dining here very much. No frills, always packed and simply the best gyros and souvlaki you can get in Lixouri. Must go here when in town.Visited 3rd July 2018 & 9th Jul 2018

Enjoyed a surprisingly delicious meal at this low-key beach side restaurant. The fresh fish was delicious and fried potato chips to die for! With the sand between our toes and waves lapping the shore just 10 metres away, this was a perfect location for a post-beach drink and dinner.

We were getting desperate with my wife to find good food and non touristic in the island. We tried the best reviewed for 4 days with no success. I guess we were also a bit spoiled knowing Cretan greek food...Finally last day we tried this taverna and the Red sauce Rooster with spaggeti was really authentic and home made (chickens from their own farm apparently). Also xorta (greens) and zucchini balls really tasty. Lastly very polite service in a great view setting. We will come back!Thank you very much Nikos! We hope to see you soon! :)
