Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q serves Real Texas Bar-B-Q seven days a week. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and group meals.
Try the pulled pork sandwich, cole slaw and add the sissy bbq sauce ... they will add bread and let you sample the meats. Country store atmosphere with a Texas flavor...

Now as anyone from Texas knows BBQ can be pricey. Hutchins is no different. I don't mind the "Buy by the 1/4 lb" but I would appreciate having an idea of what that might look like. They post prices but you really don't know if its quite enough to eat, so you order it, they cut it fresh and you get the shock when they slap the price sticker on your tray! Now the food is delicious, fresh but expensive. So be careful when you order. They post prices by the 1/4 lb so beware when you say "1 lb please", that's 4 times the price posted. Nice place overall, like the small tray idea for the sides, little like a cafe style help yourself. Lots of seating. Would go back but order more cautiously.

Prairie House is a solid restaurant serving reasonably good food. Every thing we tried was enjoyable. The table favorite was the Banditos. The jalapeno wrapped in chicken then wrapped in bacon had outstanding flavors. On the flip side, the burnt ends were dry and over cooked. They were okay, but I would not order them again. The brisket queso was nice. The fried mushrooms and cheese were nicely done, but nothing special. I really appreciated that they had craft beers on the menu. The restaurant itself is very large with lots of seating in the bar and two side rooms. The decor feels a bit like a rustic lodge. Saltgrass and Texas Roadhouse come to mind.Service was nicely done. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and informative. When orders were delayed we were informed. I like the service team.Even though I enjoyed myself, I'm not sure I'd make a return visit. It's good food, but not great. The pricing makes it a little too much for me. Our total bill for four people was $166.80 with tax and tip. That's $40 a plate. I gave it four stars because a lot of people will love this place.

Dickey's is a large chain that has locations as far north as Colorado so depending where you are from it could be great or average I've rated it average because in the Dallas area there are way better BBQ places Dickeys is very average the meat isn't vert smoky tasting almost like its roasted and then put in a smoker for a while to "season" it it's not bad it's just not the Texas BBQ you hear about on the travel channel.
