Things to do in Le Gosier
Located on the beach, bliss is the restaurant where you can eat fresh lobsters, seafood, local food with your feet in the sand. You will enjoy the sunset while drinking some good cocktails, wines and mocktails (without alcohol). Fantastic view on the ilet
So we went there because we were starving and we wanted a spot on the beach. The staff was actually very friendly and we ended up going back because we had a great time messing around with them. The food is ok, the prices for the food are ok. The drink selection is great, but it's pretty expensive. One thing that really hit me was the negative attitude of the manager (bartender). We went there 3 times (the place was empty except for us) and he just ignored us, wouldn't look/talk to us. I feel back for the staff there.

We went there on a weekday early night - most people eating in were tourists, locals seemed to prefer take away as it is cheaper. The fish skewer with rice and the ribs with sweet potato fries were delicious. Both came from a open fire grill. Staff was very nice & helpful. They had no problem accommodating our lacking French.

Loved this place as I can still smell the grill's carbon in my dirty laundry, lolWe ate at the one in Goyave and loved the staff, food and value. If your a carnivore like myself, this is the place for you.

Restaurant specialized in grilling over a wood fire. Ribs, prime rib, chicken, fish, pork ribs, salad, fries, rice.
While my dining companion's ribs might have been just a little tough, my chicken was great & the big chunky fries (potatoes imported from France!) were awesome. They even had vinegar for them, much to the amusement of the staff who hadn't seen anyone put vinegar on French fries before! The place is very rough & ready but the constant stream of locals coming in for take-out tells you all you need to know about the value. No ocean views here but you'll enjoy the food.

We were privileged to eat here twice - once before our sailboat trip, and immediately after. By then, the bar had been set pretty high -- truly we had had phenomenal fresh food, but the Zoo Rock Cafe was able to deliver quality food! Before we left, we had some lovely salads and reasonably priced island beer. But, returning to the dock on our last night, there were eight of us - each with a different menu item, and each equally satisfied. My dish, a lovely crayfish entree was amazingly tasty! Others had tuna tar tare and snapper. When we first arrived, it was quiet, but with a lot of wait staff hanging around. It seemed surprising - until about 8 pm when the place became packed! International sailors mixed easily with locals on a Friday night. We had a little one with us - and she easily found young friends to talk to and play with..The atmosphere was lively, fun, and casual... Our servers were efficient and so very friendly.... And, as I said, the food was over-the-top wonderful!I would HIGHLY recommend going to the ZOO ROCK CAFE!
