This was a great little restaurant. We ate here on our way to the palace. This might have been the best meal of our vacation, except for 1 dish. Let me start with the good. We ordered foie gras and snails for our starters. I have never had foie gras and this was so delicious! I thought it was a wonderful buttery treat. I wanted more!!! The snails were just okay. I don't need to eat those again. For the main course my husband ordered boef borgonion and it was very delicious. I ordered the "special" which was steamed mussels. When I opened the lid of the pot it smelled like dirty farm animals. The people at the table next to us even noticed the smell. I'm not one to complain, so I did eat them, but it wasn't very appetizing. So beware of the mussels, but the rest of the food was fabulous!

Tres beau buffet d entrée, super grillades au choix, beau buffet fromage et desserts, personnel gentil et agréables , prix imbattables.

Maybe not vegetarians, though. I was just a touch disappointed with the quality on offer, but the setting and the service are very good. simple food, roast chicken, duc, pintade, and also other standards of French cuisine.The chickens are not "fermier", or at least that's what I felt, they are however roasted on a spit in front of a wood fire. Very decent wine list, and better than average wine list.A sure bet.
