We were here two years ago and werenât impressed. Recently, several friends suggested we go here for a dinner get together. We had a great server, the food was much better than expected. The portions and price at $8.99 were very good. The creamed spinach, hush puppies, cole slaw and Carolina style pulled pork were delicious. The green beans were just opened out of a can. It was busy for a weeknight but we were able to get a table right away. We noticed when we walked in it was hot and all throughout dinner. The lack of air was hopefully a glitch that evening. Two suggestions would be, please upgrade the green beans to a proper dish and please upgrade from only having one bbq sauce to several choices. We were happy we went back for a second try.

I was shocked when I went into this restaurant. Nothing on the whole menu interested me or my husband as we stood there reading it on the wall. Family prices mostly.

It is so nice to finally have someone open Route 66 again and the food is exceptional. Elizabeth is a very personable, professional, and entertaining server. She made us feel like we were in her home.We ordered the chili dog and fries. The dog was the largest, most plump weiner ever and the chili is on so savory, tasty and satisfying. The fries are krinkle fries but served hot and fried perfectly. The small order is enough for two.On our second visit we returned because husband wanted a bowl of Big Fred's chili but instead he ordered a roast beef sub and brought half home with him. He said the roast beef was very tender, tasty and mild high. My burger sub was OK but next time I want the double cheeseburger because it looked so delicious it almost made my mouth water. Needless to say Big Fred's Route 66, after only being open one week today is serving really fresh, delicious foods and has top notch servers. Please visit here, you will be glad you did..
