SAW's was recommended to us by hotel staff. Our server was excellent. We started with fried green tomatoes which were delicious. Our servicer made a recommendation which we ordered. We had the pork and greens and grilled catfish and greens. Both were excellent and packed with flavor. This place has a casual atmosphere and great food. You won't be disappointed.
First off - this place is new, and I will try again. The staff was fun/service minded....though surprised they didn't notice my picked apart but not eaten chicken whey they stopped by. I hope this place makes it BUT have to sadly report that the smoked chicken plate with white sauce was probably the worst I've had anywhere. The meat was under cooked. The skin on it was soggy. The slaw was OK but a little too sweet. The deviled eggs were just OK. Price was $13, drink included, I think. I didn't see drinks on the menu so this place might have a unique (and very cool if so) offering of just giving you a cup and help yourself to whatever you want at the soda fountain. I had water so didn't take advantage of (maybe?) free sodas. There were others eating sandwiches and ribs so maybe it was just my particular plate I ordered. I don't think I can ever bring myself to order that again since it was just. that. bad. But, will come back and try something else. I have to give them a fair attempt as it appears they they got what it takes to service patrons, attitude-wise.The real catch for these guys is this: I went the very next day to SAWS BBQ just a mile down the road or so and had to get their very same plate of Smoked Chicken with White Sauce and Deviled Eggs. Only delta was Green Beans which I would have ordered from Mark's but didn't have the option. All for $13.50. (Note: SAWs charges .50 for water...not really a big deal... but comparing to Mark's that "might" have free sodas, it is noteworthy.)So, all in, it's a dollar more for SAWs. The diff in food was a lot more though. Not only was every. bite. fantastic. You get an entire half of a chicken as SAWs. At Mark's you get just the dark meat: A thigh and leg. So it's double the chicken at SAWS being a breast, wing, thigh, and leg.Night and Day difference.I am pulling for Mark's Joint to make it but 1. Quantity lacks their already established competitor down the road. 2. Quality...well, I'll stop beating a dead horse (or dead smoked chicken plate, in this case)Cheers

A group of us 'girls' have been meeting at Demetri's for an early breakfast on Mondays for years. We all have standard orders that we enjoy, but today I tried something different - the Forest Omelet - egg whites, sausage, onions, spinach, mushrooms, black beans, salsa and smoked gouda - $10.25. This was huge and came with two sides (I had grits and sliced tomato). I took more than half home for my husband to enjoy at his later breakfast. The service is always good, prompt and friendly. Love the food too. Another favorite of mine is the French toast; I get the short order of two pieces and this is made with French bread.

Ribs. Pork. Chicken. Brisket. Hell, even sausage. All BBQ has the same three basic ingredients: smoke, meat and time. What makes it different is the amount, consideration and attention to each part of that recipe. That, and some really great bbq sauce, to
Good BBQ thatâs reasonably priced. Service was good and atmosphere nice. Definitely recommend the White Sauce with the chicken! Very good!

Stopped here on our way from Destin, Fl to Chattanooga, TN. Recommended by a friend & wasnât disappointed! We were seated right away, on a Tuesday afternoon around 1PM. Thereâs a parking lot (free) we put our order in: full rack of ribs (12 bones) mac n cheese side, kids chicken tenders with baked beans & kids grilled cheese with Mac n cheese. We were brought white bread with their famous sauce. Very delicious. Tangy, vinegary bbq sauce with a little kick. The rest of the food came soon after. The previous reviewers are correct when they say itâs not a fall off the bone meat. Itâs still great tho! The Mac n cheese wasnât my favorite. The kids loved thereâs. We decided to top off with a banana pudding. Yum! Our waitress was super nice & helped us pack our leftovers. Drinks come in a reusable plastic cup thatâs like a little souvenir. Would def return if I swing back through!

Authentic, Southern Bar-B-Q. Meats are slow-smoked continuously around the clock to ensure only the freshest product. All trimmings are made from scratch daily (there's no freezer in the whole building!) Dine In, Drive Thru, To Go, and Catering available.
What had been recommended by our Hotel fell a bit flat. We had a brand new server (Ramsay)and on reflection it wasn't his fault. My notes read "Slow Barman, New Server, Bill Wrong" The meal was fine, actually good , but small servings ! The wife had Catfish coleslaw & mashed potato while I had Carolina Pork, baked beans & collard greens and we really enjoyed it. The problem was the Barman who had either a girlfriend or wife at the counter and spent most of his time talking/flirting , who knows what ?? Therefore our drinks were extremely slow which is no reflection on Ramsay but the kicker was someone (Distracted Barman?) added extra drinks to our bill !!So my overall opinion is over hyped & over priced beers !! $8.25 a Pop !
