BBQ food and drinks - pretty tasty and the service was good, so certainly no complaints (more Korean BBQ than Japanese, but I like both).This place was up some stairs on a back street, but still had space and no queue. To its credit, it provides somewhere for people to eat when the rest of the town shuts down - and for that reason it goes from very good to excellent.

I have heard it said that I should try the soba while in Hakone. You say soba, I say fish! If soba is what you want, there are plenty of choices but let me point you to a place that has awesome grilled fish; Kinosuke!If you are not totally convinced by this review, drop by the restaurant location and watch the fish being grilled in the window. That mouth watering experience should be enough to draw you in.

I had Itoh Nobu the other day so I thought this restaurant's beef can't be that good but I was wrong. I had ordered the premium beef costs 29xx yen and although I went alone, I had a room by myself. The beef was soft and the sauce was exquisite. I chose this restaurant as the other one was full but it was a good choice. Their door was very small and I mistook the restaurant upstairs. The decoration was quite modern and they let you order with a tablet. No one bothers you while you cook your meal. The experience was quite nice. It's quite far from Hakone on a dark road but they arrange pickup from your hotel. They close late at 10pm. Highly recommended.
