It is totally inexcusable to have a waiter with such shocking body odour that it detracts from the meal. The worst possible impression made, we ordered from a small meat heavy menu. The fish stew was dire in my opinion though another in our group was more impressed. Meat dishes were well received though some said portions small. Lovely location admittedly, but I left still hungry and appalled by the vagrant stench of the waiter.Ci scusiamo per il cameriere che effettivamente poteva aver sudato. If you are driving from Gossetto to Rome or viceversa and would like some good meat or pizza in an honest Tuscan trattoria, La Scafarda in Alberese, might be the right place for you. The owner and the staff are curtious and friendly. The menu is mostly of local recipes (great pesto anchovies) The pasta is good, a bit too "watery" the pici al cacio e pepe (cheese & pepper). The highlight is the Fiorentina steaks, filet or veal. Pleasant local wines (Morellino )Before or after your meal, try to visit the Park a few km from Alberese: it's one of the nicest pine tree wood on a beachfront in Tuscany.

This beautiful little restaurant and bar offers a perfect location to have dinner or aperitivi on the beach. The staff is really nice and you have a good choice of fresh seafood meals served on the porch overlooking the beautiful beach of La Rocchette. We enjoyed lunch and dinner at this restaurant that also always welcomed our children and made sure they quickly got their meals so they could go down to the beach and play while we finished our great glass of whine "con calma".

Once more we had a great dinner at Mon Amour. The place has been revamped and refreshed as well. The owners are always trying new things so there's always something new to discover. Tonight it was wild boar hamburgers. Loved it! remember, everything here is made fresh, nothing is frozen apart from some of the desserts which they don't all make themselves. We stayed for 5 days with NatureTrek (a wildlife specialist) and were very well looked after. The accommodation is rustic - not modern and polished, but very comfortable and clean, with real character, including an individual outside sitting area. Breakfast and dinner are taken in a building near the accommodation, and the food is excellent, plus wines produced from their own grapes. Very Italian food and all the better for it.Very welcoming family run business - you are made to feel part of their family.The grounds are extensive, and for early risers especially superb for wildlife, with deer, wild board, bee-eaters, golden oriole and more easily seen.We were with a party of about with two expert nature specialists as tour guides. The local area has many outstanding nature reserves to visit.thanks for the nice words. We are pleased if you liked to be with us in the Tuscan Maremma and if you liked our food and hospitality. Your group is always polite and very interesting, we found out with you animals in our area that we did not know. Especially my son Diego of 11 years has always been interested to know animals and plants and seeing the beautiful pictures you do every day !! Thank you and we hope to see you again !!!

I had conflictual feelings about this place. This has been suggested by the owner of one of the best restaurants in Grosseto, so that was already a well start. Then the lady who served us was so kind and walcoming that it was a pleasure to stay there. In between a mix of weird treatments by the owner put the experience a bit out of comfort zone. In the end he made up the doubts gifting us with a local present that partially recovered the feeling of not being take in "too much consideration" (we ordered a 2012 wine bottle and we did not notice that he brought us a 2014 one...which was completely different in quality and taste...then we recognized the mistake and asked for the second being 2012, and was sooooo much better. No words about that has been done by the owner, when just a few words and excuses would definitevely put our table ok with everything). A part of this, top quality Fiorentina, good wines, nice place, nice people. Deserve a visit.

I found this place on Trip Advisor after developing a craving for a hamburger. I guess after a week of pizza and pasta my 'Merican diet had enough of that. The food was great and the staff were amazing. They were polite and helpful and luckily there were a few who spoke english too. The burger was a good as anything you will find in America... I'm surprised because they're so hard to cook and all and the fries were great too. Great place to visit!

This restaurant came highly recommended by locals from Banfi. But, we were a bit disappointed. The service was medicore at best, not what we had been experiencing, and the food seemed to be too Americanized and nothing special.
