Our long weekend visit to see family begins with dinner from Holcombâs. Mom had an order of chopped bar b que for sandwiches, gallon of Brunswick stew and slaw for our main dinner entree. The quality of the food remains consistent. The availability of the stew is a great time saver. Pulling over to Holcombâs in Greensboro from I-20, between Augusta and ATL, will be a good experience. Happy times to yâall.

Leaving the Off-Road course nearby we drone Pilots was in need of some good southern food and Jacksonâs BBQ is it. I met the owners of the place for 40 years now. There is a reason why after 40 years they are still in business and itâs cause they cook some of the best bbq I have tasted on the road traveling. Super nice people hope to come again...

The Boathouse at Harbor Club is a marina offering dry stack boat storage and a seasonal restaurant. The marina is open year round and the restaurant is open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.
Great place for casual meal. Restaurant is located next to a full service dock, boat storage and watercraft rental shop. There is outdoor and indoor seating. Everything we had for dinner was delicious, but menu seemed a little limited with appetizers, salads and sandwiches. Nice location which overlooks the water. I understand they have live music on occasion and there is a nice, large fireplace next to the water to enjoy a beverage. Service was friendly. There is ample parking.
Located down a side road on the south side of Interstate 20 Exit 121 near the little town of Buckhead (not the Buckhead on the north side of Atlanta). This is a family run restaurant serving catfish and barbecue. I have never had barbecue there; however, there catfish and accompanying hush puppies are excellent. The Cole slaw ain't to bad either. You can get the bone in, all you can eat plate for $15.95 which include sides and salad bar. Only open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Cash or check only and no close ATM's so come prepared. No alcohol.

To go bbq of all kinds with lots of sides. Outdoor seating offered catering also. Breakfast served till 11 on weekdays. 12 on Saturday and Sunday
stopped for lunch on a hot Sunday afternoon. Enjoyed sitting on the patio with a nice adult beverage and had an great pork BBQ sandwich. Sandwich was piled high with great tasting pork and the house sauce was very flavorful. Only really drawback was serving a beer in a flimsy plastic cup.We will visit again soon.
