Reviews on Barbecue food in Georgetown, Demerara-Mahaica, Guyana. Although not a crowded Caribbean tourist spot, Georgetown is a unique city that serves as a perfect jumping point for ecotours into the South American interior. Its Victorian and Dutch Colonial architecture is detailed with louvered window shutters and brick and stone work. Built below the high tide level, the city is protected by a large seawall and drained by a grid of canals. Sundry goods can be found at the distinctive Stabroek Market, while the landmark Light House offers panoramic views.

Unbelievably yes!Certainly a waste of cab fare, I ask the cab driver to come back in three hours, he said maybe I just wait....I laughed walked off and 30 minutes later got back in the cab.Yes there are a few, very few eating places, some shops full of cheap china products, a cambio exchange kiosk, but nothing of interest to a tourist.

If you are looking for good healthy fast food in a clean environment in central Georgetown, this is the place to go.The menu is varied, the choices are generally healthy, and the service is reasonably fast. They serve both take away and food to ear on the premises in a clean and spacious atmosphere. The only big negative is that it is almost impossible to find parking in the area.

We've been here several times and always the food and the ambience were great. Very friendly people and servers. Really excellent food. Barbecued straight from the oven. Great skewers are taken to your table and you're given your servings of chicken or beef or pork or sausages of various kinds.l There's a delicious buffet as well with rice and vegetables and many other things. Really succulent liver, too.A variety of drinks: wines, various rums etc., beer, soft drinks. Everyone's friendly and the entire place has a homey feel to it.A real must is the wonderful skewer-barbecued pineapple!

This is not a "normal" restaurant. The owner, Delven Adams, runs this from his own backyard. Reservations are made by Facebook, telephone or through a third party who has the details. The place is limited to just one party, be it a couple or larger. It is a cosy outside venue. It is possible to go with Delven to pick your supplies from the market. He has a great rapport with the various stall owners. He loves to show off the many vegetables, fruits etc which local and fresh. Wandering round with him was not just a delight but also an education. We chatted, laughed and swapped recipes. This market visit is highly recommendedWe chose fish for our lunch. The choice was immense both in variety and size. Delven knew just the one for us. He prepared mine with a garlic herb sauce which was so delicious. We had a soup/broth made from coconut, lemongrass, fish and a hint of chilli. All was so fresh, so scrumptious, so......There were a couple of feral cats which were delightful. I hope that they will be neutered and encouraged. Go for a truly memorable experience

This was our second dining choice as our first choice was closed, parking is limitedplace is very clean and spacious, staff friendly and attentive. We had the bbq chicken and macaroni pie with salad and wine by the glass. Large portion good enough for 2.food was tasty and fresh. Waitress came out to check and see if we needed anything periodically. Place is very warm as you are sitting outdoors, traffic was quiet as it was during the week. I will actually return to try the other items on menu. Glad i stopped by.

Having lived in Argentina and Brazil I found this restaurant was average. Chicken and lamb was good but beef was tough. They don't come round twice with the same cut. I felt hurried in eating. Salad buffet had a good selection but deep fried fish had too many bones and I could not eat it as too much hard work and I was brought up on fish on the bone.
