Good portions, fresh and delicious, exactly what you'd get in Hawaii. Most meals are in the $7-9 range and include protein and starch. Decent value for a meal and authentic if you like this style food. Nice restaurant. If you're expecting Kansas style bbq, that's not Hawaiian.

I've been meaning to get over to this place and give it a try. It's a somewhat prototypical hole-in-the-wall BBQ place. Of the local places I've visited, I would say this is the best in the area - it's excellent!"What should I order?" Brisket is a local favorite. Spare ribs and sides are terrific also.Photo of the "Texas Combo" is provided. Great presentation but don't get sidetracked with details, the flavor is what you want and you will most definitely be satisfied!

My review is for Moon BBQ at La Crescenta in LA, however cannot find them in Trip Advisor for that location, so writing it here.The service is very poor at this establishment, six of our friends all came here travelling from Australia. We had to ask 5 times for an extra pair of serving tongs, and two different waiters before we finally got them.We also asked for extra rice which we never received. We were never offered any extra drinks and the overall service was slow. They took our hot plate and never came back with it. So one of our guests had to get up and go see the staff personally at the kitchen to organise a new one.Very poor, not worth the $25 per person we paid. Such a waste of money, very unimpressed.

Tamaen just opened recently. They have a lunch buffet beef bowl but itâs not the typical buffet whereby you can eat, then refill etc.For the buffet beef bowl, they will keep stacking up the beef on top of rice until you say Stop or the stack is almost falling over. Only 1-time.So needless to say, we let it keep going until the height of the photos.The raw beef was ok...nothing unusual compared to the raw beef sushi we had in japan. If you havenât had raw beef before, itâs worth a try.The beef for BBQ / grilling was great. The range of price could get from expensive to very expensive...into the hundred. We tried and the grill beef was definitely much better than the beef bowl if you are into premium beef and donât mind paying the price.Ambience is quiet and cozy, even though from outside it could look dark.Inside not very smelly or smoky, but it could be there were only 3 tables of guests when we were there.

We visited at 17:30. Not so crowded.We ordered the gobchang hot pot$48. Maybe this hot pot can share 3-4 person. But we finished for 2 person. Too much! I came to Jay Bee's because I saw this on DDD. I was really disappointed. The pulled pork sandwich had to much BBQ sauce on it, and the sauce was not great. The ribs where like jerky, very dry and tough. The chicken was good, coleslaw was very bland. It was really not work the drive to get over to the place.
