I like this restaurant!!!!......the beer selection is great, the atmosphere is wonderful......my problem with Skull Camp is the menu......I like smoked brisket and pork.....but not my wings!!!!........I and a lot of people I know would eat there more often if the menu were expanded and brought back down to earth......after all this is Elkin, NC.....keep it simple!!!

I read several reviews of how much people thought this restaurant was a wonderful place to eat. So we finally got a chance to experience this place for ourselves. It was a Saturday afternoon after regular lunch time. There was only 1 worker who waited tables, took care of takeout orders, served food, and ran the cash register. The bbq was tender but fell flat on taste and had chunks of fat in it. The tea was terrible so my wife drank water. If you want some great Barbeque, go to Brushy Mountain Restaurant in Wilkesboro, NC or Little Richards Barbeque in Yadkinville,NC.

Stopped in to have breakfast as we were leaving the Americas Best Value Inn. Service was quick, Food great, gravy biscuit ok per my husband, not a true home style sausage or sawmill type gravy. Friendly waitress, very clean. Prices very good basic café menu.
