We ventured out for dinner on our first night of vacation in the Chicago area, and decided on Uncle Bub's. It's easy to find, and had plenty of parking (though that might not be the case on a busier night.) The interior was inviting, the staff unfailingly friendly and helpful, and the menu clear. We placed our orders, got our drinks, and grabbed a booth. Our food came out quickly, and looked great. Our only real complaint is that the food comes out sauced (we prefer to sauce our barbecue ourselves.) the portions were large, and everything tasted fantastic! We definitely recommend!

Our group of 12 tried a variety of items including fish, salads, chicken and burgers. Didn't hear anyone complain, but not any raves either. My burger was good but nothing special. The house slaw was tasty. Our server was knowledgeable and pleasant and gladly gave us individual checks. The restaurant wasn't busy at the time we ate lunch.

I visited during a Bears game (they were being slaughtered by the Saints) and they have an impressive number of flat screens all around the place (not just around the bar itself). They also had a number of well-known IPAs available and a food menu with standard bar fare (plus better entrees too). I went with an order of their Zinger wings (hottest sauce) and they were just OK (a little on the dry side, truth be told).Service was fine and prices were inline with places like this.Hey, GoneOffTheGrid!
