Oistins is extremely popular on a Friday evening with both tourists and locals, with lots of entertainment, craft stalls and a large number of restaurants, we were lucky to find a table at Pat's place, which was highly recommended and we were lucky to miss the very long queue that soon built up after we were seatedA great atmosphere and we didn't mind the wait for food , which was really first class and a very very good size, everybody tried different fish meals and all were impressed. We ate there a couple of days later , no queues but again excellent food but lacked the busy Friday night atmosphere

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening dinner at the Masala Grill, the seating is in a front garden of a house, all the food is cooked freshly with beautiful juices prepared by the owners to enjoy with your dinner. We selected the Steak and Lamb Mains which were cooked to perfection and so tender and tasty.Nice background tunes as well.We ate at many of the local high end expensive restaurants and whilst the setting wasnât as grand the food and service were on par.Exceptional value for money, highly recommended, so worth the effort in locating.Check out their FB Page for more information.

A small fishing Harbour at the end of the South Coast Oistins has become a local institution and is the number 1 spot to be on a Friday night in Barbados. You will find dozens of little stalls selling the catch of the day served with whatever sides you want, the mac&cheese my personal favorite. Drinks are normally available too or you can goto one of the many little bar stalls. Whatâs makes this so much fun is the amount of locals that come out with there familyâs to relax chat and eat with there friends. You can often end up at a long bench with a load of tourists /locals and everyone gets on! As the night goes on a sing sing/party normally starts on the bandstand area and can be very entertaining. Itâs not just open on Friday nights, you can go any other night and enjoy a much calmer experience.

The prices have gone up significantly and now it is expensive to eat for what you get. The food is good but at the present price point there are many other restaurants in the area that are better value. It cost us nearly double the price for a similar meal at Oistens and we had less food and less sides.

After reading a lot of reviews we arrived about 16.15 we walked passed a lot of people trying to get us to eat. We just asked for uncle George we were not disappointed the fish was lovely and so was the company Charles from Boston,Rolph from Germany and Fiona from Scotland although the last two have resided in Barbados for a number of years. It was great conversation great food and great night waitresses were friendly. Advise you to go early as you best the rush
Local food, great prices, relaxing environment, best roti in Barbados, great beer and rum punch.
This is the place near Craneâs beach where the locals and staff from Craneâs Resort go to eat! Much more authentic and fun and way cheaper than eating in the overpriced restaurants in Crane Resort. The food is freshly cooked to order and reliable and tasty, there are also daily specials that were not listed on the menu but the local guys at the next table were eating. We ate here almost daily once we discovered it, as itâs easily accessible out the side gate through the Craneâs Resort Car Park.Locals sit around for hours drinking and watching the cricket or movies if there are no cricket re-runs! The menu includes roti wraps with meat or vegetable curries which were my favourite and my husband usually had fresh fish and salad.Friendly and fun!

Food was great, we went on Wednesday at around 4:30 PM. Roger was friendly and took great care of us; even showed us out to the pier to look at turtles and found us a cab back to our hotel.

There is a small strip of these bars by Dover beach, like around Oistins. There's probably not much to chose between them, but we chose Daddy's as it was the closest to the beach exit and we needed to get my little one out of the sun.Very friendly, polite, with quick service.
