Reviews on Barbecue food in Ciutadella, Balearic Islands, Spain. You’ll find 17th-century, Italian-style buildings and an interesting old cathedral here. However, many travelers are drawn to Ciudadela’s lively nightlife and fiestas, including the Processo dels Tres Tocs on January 17 and a celebration of Sant Joan, the town’s patron saint, on June 23–24. They feature dancing, parades and pomada, a drink combining gin and lemon.

Just returned from dinner. Truly dreadful meal. They cover everything in excessive sauce, serve cold boil potatoes with everything, itâs over priced & miserable staff. I raised my concerns & they were suitably defensive. How the hell anyone suggests this is anything but a 1 star restaurant is beyond me. If you like meat & gravy at twice the cost of back home then fill your boots. Good morning. Firstly, we would like to thank you for your visit to our restaurant. Whist we welcome constructive criticism, we feel that a large part of what you have written is unfair.I personally was the member of staff who served your table and feel I did so politely and efficiently. In 13 years service at this restaurant this is the first time anyone has referred to me as "miserable". I enjoy my work and carry out my tasks with pleasure. During your meal I passed by your table on numerous occasions and at no point did anybody raise any concerns with their meals. It was not until the meal had ended that you told me of your disappointment. We would always encourage our customers to tell us if they have any problem with the food but the best time to do so is during the meal when we can offer a replacement and not at the end when the meals are finished and there is little we can do to rectify the problem. Regarding your complaint of covering the food in sauce, 3 of the your 4 choices were in fact dishes served with sauce, for example, chicken breast with pepper corn sauce. If you dislike sauce over your meat perhaps a better option would have been grilled chicken breast or a sauce on the side, both of which are available on the menu. I would also like to point out that in this establishment we do not serve either boiled potatoes or gravy. The potatoes are roasted in the oven and we simply do not nor have we ever used gravy.

We ate in the main dining area which is large, airy and stunning (there is an outside eating area and a more casual indoor dining space with an alternative menu available)Despite the rather grand surroundings the staff are friendly and the prices are no more expensive that other mid-range places.Off to a fine start with House Bread accompanied by tangy olives and aioli. We each ordered a starter - Courgette Fritters (a bit bland and disappointing) and Goats Cheese Salad (superb and the best I had during my holiday with a fab mix of leaves, fruits, nuts, generous portion of cheese and zesty dressing) Mains of Suckling Pig (tasty and tender but nothing extraordinary according to OH) and Chargrilled Chicken (very tasty and tender but far, far too much for one person) House red very tasty and reasonably priced - but you wouldn't expect such a classy establishment to serve poor house wine.At under 70 euros inc tip we felt we had 'gone a bit upmarket' without breaking the bank.So we decided to return a few nights later - I had decided that Goats Cheese Salad would be my main course as it was so good the previous time.We decided to share a starter knowing that portion sizes are generous and Tuna Chunks with Tomatoes suited us both - what a great choice. Chargrilled fresh tuna in sizeable pieces (nothing from a tin here!) sat on top of a huge leafy salad with a superb dressing and plenty of ripe juicy tomatoes. My repeated GC salad did not disappoint. Cod with Saffron Sauce served with potatoes and vegetables also proved a hit on the other side of the table.Again good quality, nicely presented, tasty food along with fruity red wine in a stunning environment for under 70 euros is excellent value. We left suitably full with a recommendation from our waiter to go immediately along to Placa des Borns where a free concert was taking place - Punk Floyd tribute (The Other Side) accompanied by the Municipal Band of Menorca. Brilliant evening all round!

Menorca cuisine restaurant, where you can also enjoy your grill and homemade tapas
My wife an I visited the restaurant on three occasions, during our week long stay. The ambiance and service were great; the food itself varied! Some meals were really good and others average! The T bone steak is very quirky, delivered to the table over a small BBQ charcoal server, it was very nice! The other meals including salmon, steak and skewers varied in quality, some good and some average! Over all though we enjoyed our visits, it is a little pricey!
