This restaurant in the middle of the old town in a very authentic and cozy location. The selection of antipasti was delicious as was all the large selection of foos and local meat. Service great too and excellent wine selection. We had a deliciuos dinner spending less then 20euro each.

Downstairs is a butchers shop, you can choose your meat, then go upstairs where its cooked for you to perfection, excellent food and excellent value, lots of local people use this restaurant, including wine and a T .Bone steaks never any more then 35 euros for two, if in Ceglie go here, they are closed Thursdays & Sundays.

This is the most amazing restaurant with amazing trullos to rent. The food is organically grown and the ingredients sourced locally with fabulous gastromy.This is the restaurant that represents the lovely food of the region and all of Italy.The gardens are amazing and the atmosphere vey special. A visit here is a must.

This (essentially) meat only osteria is one of the many BBQ like restaurants that came up in recents years in Puglia. Braceria (not Breaceria as it is mis-spelled in this page!) is the Italian name for "cooking on embers", or - if you want - just a BBQ place.The meat was excellent and the quantity pantagruelian. The service is extremely friendly with typical open Italian style. What a pleasure not to be welcome by empty formal rituals and "please-leave-a-big-tip-behind" style of greetings!Order a good bottle of Negroamaro wine from the region to accompany the meat and to help your stomach do its work!

In a bustling atmosphere with friendly attentive waiting staff we tasted the many starters. Nothing exceptionally delicious but good and copious. The house wine was not terrific, so we drank little. The plastic cups for water a little out of place. The fiorentina steak fantastic however! A good place for a nice dinner.

TripAdvisor led us to this restaurant. After 10 days of pizzas, pasta and seafood indulgences, we decided to have a good steak for a change. After touring the typical sites in Puglia today: Polignano, Alberobello and Locorotondo, we intended to visit Ostuni for dinner. TripAdvisor flagged up this restaurant and we booked via its Facebook link. We got a reply within minutes and we were all set.The surprise came when it was not in Ostuni, but quite a distance away. Since we hired a car, it was no trouble at all. It turned out to be a brilliant bit of luck.The welcome was warm, the food was just amazing. Great care was taken with the fantastic ingredients. The T-bone steak was sourced locally and cooked to perfection. We were given a complementary glass of Prosecco upon arrival. The âbisteccaâ for two was right for two hungry tourists. We also had a steak tartare that was just superb.Although English was a little bit of a barrier, the hosts were so welcoming and they made every effort to please their guests and all done with a smile.Bravo and Grazie Mille!

Chanced on this restaurant when everywhere else seemed to be closed. A simple, family, restaurant but the food was extremely good and prepared by people who cared. So, not in the "great meal" category but certainly makes it onto our "very good lunch" list! Great value too.

This is an average restaurant in terms of Ceglie Messapica as unremarkable against many others. Nothing different except for the owner. We couldn't get rid of him! we got his entire life story, his time in the navy, how he met his German wife, where he has been, drone drone drone..... the food was average and a little overpriced for the area.Dear Mr./Mrs. "Paripatetic " I must have been impressed because she remembers me after 7 months. I am very sorry if I was intrusive, but I thought the discussion was mutual. I Didn't seem annoyed and talked about travel, you too are great travelers.Either way I'm very sorry, and I apologize, even if the judgement is a bit harsh.Excuse me for my English, I apologize again, we sailors like the conversation. We found this place quite by chance, you pick the meats you want from a butcherâs style counter, they have steaks, sausages, bombettes, chicken wings and a whole host of local delicacies. They seat you in the restaurant and you can choose drinks, appetisers and side dishes for your mains. They were really helpful and friendly and this was the only place in Puglia that we visited more than once! Itâs full of locals and always busy so you know itâs going to be good and reasonably priced too.
