I am an avid TA user and a huge DDD fan. We were looking forward to some quality BBQ and to experience this DDD Guy Fieri location. My wife and I decided to split the combo platter of half rack of ribs and brisket, along with an order of fries and green beans. The food came out within 3 minutes, which was great. However, as a BBQ aficionado and an avid BBQ cooker myself, I didn't like the looks of the ribs. They were totally dry and looked as if they had been heated up in a microwave. They were gray, no smoke ring and the bones just fell out of the overdone rib meat. The seasoning was bland and it needed the sauce just to add much needed taste. The brisket was, thankfully, very good, as were the sides that came with it. Maybe we just got a bad batch of ribs, but I would be very cautious about ordering them in the future. We had great service up until the time when our bill arrived, as our waitress added a $3 upcharge for the brisket, that was then removed when I brought it to her attention. It makes me wonder if this is a normal practice for this restaurant.Hi there! We appreciate you taking the time to review our restaurant. See we recently changed our point of sales system and our menu options, there was a glitch with the item you ordered. I'm certainly glad you caught that, by no means was your server trying to gain sales by over charging you. That being said we have thoroughly looked through all menu items after you left the restaurant to make certain all pricing is correct. I am disappointed to hear you did not enjoy your ribs. Enjoy some fabulous ambience and delicious Italian and bbq fare prepared by the executive chef at the newly opened Armadillo. Fantastic staff, totally remodeled interior. Stop in, you wonât be disappointed!

I was on my way to the Pikes Peak RR and came across this gem. I was hungry so I ordered the slopper, which has both pork and beef. It is huge, good smoke, and very reasonably priced. It was so filling that I didn't eat dinner that night. I was staying up the road and came back, twice. A couple days later I had bbq at a popular place in KC, and it was not nearly as good.
