Tried this place on a recommendation and short walk from the Hampton Inn hotel. We were all pleased with the service, prices and food. Must have the corn-pepper-cheese-poppers, these were an instant hit for an appetizer! Good ribs, wings and chicken. The only small complaint we had was the brisket was too lean/dry, but good flavor.

Here's a classic BBQ joint that hasn't changed in many years. The barbecue, chicken, beans, fries and hushpuppies are delicious. It's a small restaurant so seating at peak times can be challenging. Parking is limited and you may need to cross a heavily traveled road to secure a space (back in if you do). It's worth a visit if you like barbecue.

A small, family owned BBQ joint and craft beer shop that specializes in locally sourced & organic ingredients and pasture raised animals.
They've got some terrific barbecue. The pulled pork platter with the slaw is the best overall option. But I had a Big Cheesy sandwich: pimento mac and cheese (yes, on the sandwich) with BBQ, pickles and BBQ sauce. That is a sandwich! And they have a whole slough of specialty beers from all over. And once I had a dessert that I could never have imagined: baconana pudding, which is banana pudding with bacon. It is North Carolina, and it was surprisingly good.
