Wanted good barbeque in Beaumont, Texas for lunch. Went to Tony's Barbeque. When we drove up, the place looked closed. Hi. They were open and we went to the cafeteria style counter to order. Asked if I can substitute a baked potato for the two sides. Was told it would cost three dollars more. When we looked at the vegetables on the steam table I was repulsed. They looked terrible. I couldn't eat in this place. We left without eating at this establishment. My reccomdation is stay away from this place.

Friendliest BBQ in Beaumont! The owner set us up with brisket, links, ribs, potato salad and jambalaya rice. The sauce was not the usual vinegar based sauce. It was more like a gravy. My favorite of the meats was the sausage, loosely packed with lots of flavor. The ribs were good too. Potato salad made with sweet gherkins. Didn't get a chance to try the sweet potato pie as they were sold out.
Chicken was very dry and over cooked Coleslaw had way too much mayonnaise Sausage quite flavorful but seemed store bought rather than homemadeThe restaurant is almost an after thought to a convenience storeA disappointment for sure as I was looking forward to trying this place out

I love the ribs here. They leave the tips on them which I dearly appreciate. The brisket is good too but I recommend going light on the sauce. Very nice people running the place.
