Lovely secluded hidden gem. Perfect service, perfect food. Five starters, entrecote main and three treat puddings with wine and coffee £25.Good menu and price range. Recommend a visit

Hago una reserva telefónica en Al Born, el restaurante que hasta hace un año estaba en este local, me presento a la hora indica al restaurante y comento que tenemos reserva (error mÃo de no saber que se habÃan trasladado). Sobre la reserva el REC me dice que si y que pasemos, feo no comentar que no tenian una reserva telefónica efectuada hace 1h a mi nombre. El local nos parece exacto a como era, hace más de 2 años que no venÃamos, si hay cambio alguno no lo apreciamos. Cuando ya estamos sentados apreciamos que tiene otro nombre en la pared del fondo, comentamos que algo pasa; entramos en Tripadvisor y vemos que el enlace a la web del restaurante no funciona. Deduimos que han cambiado el nombre, repito que el local nos parece idéntico y al comentar que tenÃamos reserva no nos la han negado. La carta difiere al recuerdo que tenÃamos, pero además hay un 30% de la carta no disponible :( Cuando ya hemos pedido la comida indagamos un poco más y vemos que se han trasladado, error nuestro pero le damos una oportunidad (aunque nos han engañado con lo de la reserva).De primero unos calamares a la andaluza, ración justa pero buenos, vamos bien. Llegan los segundos, bacalo bueno pero el cordero al horno congelado por dentro, fatal. Pedimos carta de postre, nos dicen que no hay y nos lo cantan; no nos apetece nada, pedimos cafés y la cuenta.Gran sorpresa cuando en la cuenta nos cobran 2⬠por unas olivas que nos han puedto al principio de cortesÃa. A parte del pan, que tampoco hemos pedido, y nos cobran bajo el concepto de tostadas En fÃn, nos cobran 4⬠por dos platos que no hemos pedido, y según ley catalana al no ser pedido es detalle de la casa y no se pueden cobrar. Le reclamo lo de las olivas, ya pasando del tema del pan, y me comentan que si no lo querÃamos los tenÃamos que dejar. Le explico que no funciona asà pero dá igual, que los cobre y se quede tranquila.Salgo con sensación de haber sido engañado y estafado. NO VOLVERà JAMÃS y no recomiendo a nadie venir.

Visited on a whim returning from the beach. Were pleasantly surprised by the attentiveness of the staff and the quality of the meat. A very simple and no-frills kind of place, the name refers to the four different fires they have to barbeque and cook the meat. Generous portions, so worth visiting if you're in the vicinity and in the mood for a wood-fired meat feast.

You will only find this restaurant by recommendation. It is about a kilometre up a track off the Figueres to Besalu road, near to Besalu. It is family run and family friendly. Beautiful Catalan Sunday lunch,well served and reasonably priced. It is far removed from the Costa Brava most tourists experience and better for that. Clean stone walled dinning room and a good choice of food.

Having done the "foodies" rounds in the Alt Emporda, i felt this restaurant was rather ordinary in the food department, however it is a cosy family run restaurant even though at the side of a main arterial road.Thanks for your visit.
